    • The present disclosure relates to a box-shaped structure of inter-related structural components. The structural components are combined to create a single three dimensional component the shape of a rectangular prism. The structure is formed by creating a pair of exterior walls from horizontal members and a series of laterally spaced vertical members that are coupled to the horizontal members by truss plates. The structure also includes a series of laterally spaced rectangular ribs that are coupled to the exterior walls by additional truss plates. The ribs and the walls are further coupled by use of wood sheeting along the top of the structure to form the resultant assembly. The entire assembly is connected together with a series of bolt and steel angle connectors, allowing the entire module to act monolithically.

    • A fabricated wooden beam including at least two longitudinal wooden members spaced parallel and apart by a plurality of wooden blocks spaced between and along the length of the longitudinal members. A plurality of truss plates, each installed across one side of a block and spanning between each longitudinal member, provide structural integrity. The truss plates are installed in pairs with one across either face of each block at an acute angle to the longitudinal axis of the beam. Alignment of the generally parallel truss plates on one side of the beam is at an acute or preferably right angle to the alignment of the generally parallel truss plates on the opposite side of the beam. The preferred truss plate alignment of truss plates on both sides of the beam is at approximately 45.degree. to the longitudinal axis of the beam so that the beam has structural symmetry and optimal material utilization. Narrow truss plates at each end, tieing the ends of the longitudinal members and the end block more securely together, are designer optional.

    • A multiple-use joint connector of plastic, sheet metal, wood, etc., particularly for roof structures of greenhouses, smelting plants, and the like. Two sleeves are arranged at an angle to one another for the insertion of rafters therein. These sleeves are connected by connecting elements which together with the sleeves define an opening, the axis of the passage of which is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the sleeves. This opening is provided for the ridge beam or board. The sleeves are open at both ends. The openings between the sleeves are formed by the end edges of those side walls of the sleeves which face one another, and extend beyond the width of the sleeves by extensions of flanges arranged on the sleeves. Additional openings which are aligned with one another and have a cross section at least as large as that of the beam which is to be inserted therethrough, are arranged in the side walls of the sleeves and/or of the extensions thereof which bridge the space between the sleeves.

    • An equilateral derrick structure such as for use in erecting chimneys and the like, wherein a plurality of horizontal members, upright diagonal brace members, and vertical column members are interconnected by a plurality of connectors to provide a desired three-dimensional framework derrick. The horizontal members may define a first kind of structural element, the brace members may define a second kind of structural element differing from the first kind, and the column members may define a third kind of structural element differing from each of the first and second kinds. The connectors may be formed as unitary members having a center portion defining a right circularly cylindrical hole for receiving corresponding right circularly cylindrical column members. The connectors may further define outwardly projecting flanges for connection of the horizontal members and diagonal brace members thereto. The connectors may have a circular inner configuration and a hexagonal outer configuration coaxial to the axis of the column mounting hole.
