    • A support system suitably applicable as a timbering for construction of a concrete structure, which can reduce the number of parts and greatly improve the workability. The support system includes a plurality of jack members 6 placed on the ground or the like, a plurality of bottom members 5 connected to upper ends of the jack members 6, a plurality of vertical members 1 connected to upper ends of the bottom members 5, the vertical members 1 being connected with each other at upper and lower ends thereof, a plurality of vertically inverted jack members 6 connected to the upper ends of uppermost ones of the vertical members 1, a plurality of horizontal members 2 horizontally extending between the vertical members 1, and a plurality of diagonal members 3 and 4 diagonally extending between the vertical members 1. Each vertical member 1 has an annular horizontal flange 10 at the upper end. The horizontal flange 10 is connected through a joint member 9 to one end of each horizontal member 2 and each diagonal member 3 and 4. The joint member 9 is detachably engaged with the horizontal flange 10.

    • A scaffolding system comprises tubular uprights (10) having inwardly extending stiffening and guide flanges (23) for guiding any inserted jointing pieces and braces (15) that may be necessary, and connected with connecting beams (12) by means of bayonet joints (21, 22, 33). Such a bayonet joint comprises a hole (21) in the upright (10) and a locking hook (22) which projects from the end of the beam (12) and which, after it has been turned into its engagement position, is fixed in this position by means of a catch (35) displaceably mounted on the beam for movement into locking engagement with the upright. The inwardly extending stiffening flanges in the tubular uprights have radial recesses provided at a predetermined distance from the ends of the uprights to receive outwardly directed projections on a jointing piece insertable in the uprights.

    • A scaffold structure for attachment to wall surfaces. Telescoping horizontal members are supported at an inner end by a secured wall bracket. The horizontal members are usable to carry a work platform resting on their upper surfaces. They are supported intermediate their ends by a depending bracket mounted to either a vertical post resting on a ground surface or an angular support extending upward from a lower wall bracket. Their outer ends include vertically open brackets for mounting vertical boards to serve as ground supports and/or handrail supports. A protective handrail can be mounted to the vertical boards at the outer ends of the horizontal members. An upright fixed adjacent to the outer end of each horizontal member is intersected by a roof member to provide an alternate form of outer support.

    • An equilateral derrick structure such as for use in erecting chimneys and the like, wherein a plurality of horizontal members, upright diagonal brace members, and vertical column members are interconnected by a plurality of connectors to provide a desired three-dimensional framework derrick. The horizontal members may define a first kind of structural element, the brace members may define a second kind of structural element differing from the first kind, and the column members may define a third kind of structural element differing from each of the first and second kinds. The connectors may be formed as unitary members having a center portion defining a right circularly cylindrical hole for receiving corresponding right circularly cylindrical column members. The connectors may further define outwardly projecting flanges for connection of the horizontal members and diagonal brace members thereto. The connectors may have a circular inner configuration and a hexagonal outer configuration coaxial to the axis of the column mounting hole.
