摘要： A device for removing the liquid contents from a sealed paper carton. Preferably made of a high strength thermoplastic material, the device consists of a pouring spout, a removable plug for the spout, a sealing ring surrounding the base of the spout, and a sharply tipped, spirally grooved hollow cone which depends axially from the sealing ring. The underside of the sealing ring contains an annular ring-shaped recess formed by the base of the cone and the lower edge of the sealing ring. The spiral groove in the cone is arcuate in cross-section and contains a plurality of cylindrical holes which provide passageways from the outside of the cone into the interior of the spout.

摘要： An assembly unit for use with bulk containers for marketing liquids such as wine and which have an inner plastic pouch liner. The assembly unit, which includes a housing and a tap, is disposed within the carton and the housing secured to one of the carton walls. When it is desired to dispense liquid, the tap is swung outwardly and one end is caused to automatically pierce a sealing membrane of the bag and to be coupled to the same. Liquid may then be dispensed as desired by opening a valve at the outer end of the tap. Also a bulk container for the marketing of liquids like wine, the exterior carton of the container having an inner liner of plastic material and a fitting attached to a lower portion of the pouch which has an opening that is normally closed by a sealing membrane. The above assembly unit is disposed within the carton and connected to the fitting. It is accessible through the carton wall to which it is secured for outward movement to dispensing position.

摘要： A can opening device with a built-in pouring spout that can be affixed to a can of engine oil for use in transferring oil from the can and is equipped with a punch that can be manually operated to open an air vent in the wall of the can. The device has a cutter of conventional type for cutting a pour hole in the top of the can, a conventional guide of the sort that rides against the side of the can to guide the cutter in its cutting operation, and a pouring spout shaped to serve as a handle for use in forcing the cutter through the can top. The punch is pivotally mounted on a metallic arm that is secured to the pouring spout, which arm is bent to extend diametrically across the top of a can to which the device is attached, from the pour hole formed by the cutter, then down the opposite side of the can to a point near its bottom end. The punch has a pointed claw at its forward end and is formed with a handle by means of which the claw can be swung into piercing contact with the wall of the can to form the above-mentioned air vent. The resulting air vent is in that part of the wall farthest removed from the pour hole in the top of the can.

摘要： A dispenser and dispenser closure for storing two products separately in and on a necked container for eventual mixing thereof and dispensing them as a mixture. A sealed cup-shaped plug closes the container and has a bottom that is punchable or pierceable. The container contains a first material that is to be mixed with a second material contained in the cup-shaped plug externally of the container interior. A dispensing element which is a tubular punching piston is disposed slidable axially in the cup and is provided with a leading edge at an inner open end for punching or piercing the plug's bottom for introducing the second material into the container upon being depressed. The punching piston fixed therein coaxially therewith a dispensing tube open at both ends. A removable cover closes an outer end of the tube and removed therefrom automatically upon the punching piston being displaced. The mixtue contents are dispensed through the dispensing tube by first depressing the punching piston and then inverting the container once the mixture has been effected.

A pivoted clamp is provided for clamping the reservoir on the body when the seal has been pierced and holds the reservoir securely to the body during use of the dispenser. A nut secures the detachable element on the dispenser, a spring bias being provided to afford adjustment of the element with respect to the nut. A check valve is provided to prevent return of liquid to the reservoir and facilitates the use of collapsible supply reservoirs.

摘要： A liquid dispenser apparatus for use in gravity dispensing of liquid beverages contained in can type containers is provided which includes a frame for securing a can containing liquid to be dispensed, a piercing tool adapted to penetrate the bottom of a can for withdrawing the liquid contents thereof, and a conduit for conducting liquid from the piercing tool through a valve for controlled dispensing. A second piercing tool located on the top of the frame is adapted to penetrate the top of the can and is similarly interconnected with the valve to permit on the opening of the valve the bleeding of air to the top portion of the can, thereby equalizing the pressure in the can while, at the same time, liquid flows through the valve of the dispensing unit. The dispensing apparatus is constructed and sized in relation to the container to be employed therewith so that both of the piercing tools simultaneously penetrate a can inserted in the frame holder by closing action of the top which is hingedly secured to the frame.

摘要： A dispensing intrauterine catheter and method for injecting fluid, as a drug material or a tissue adhesive, into the canals of the Fallopian tubes of a female primate. The catheter has an elongated tubular member carrying an expandable sleeve member on its outer end. A dispensing unit attached to the tubular member has three chambers for storing containers housing drug materials and fluid to expand the sleeve member. The containers have collapsible bodies which are pierced by needles which carry the first fluid to expand the sleeve member. The fluids in the second and third containers are sequentially dispensed from the outer end of the tubular member into the uterine cavity. A handoperated member is sequentially moved to dispense the fluid from the first container to expand the sleeve member and then sequentially dispense the second fluid and third fluid into the uterine cavity. The drug material is stored in a metal collapsible container. The actuator has a pair of legs which cooperate with inclined walls to move the container into piercing engagement with the needle and compress and collapse the container and thereby move the drug material from the container via the needle into the uterine cavity.
