摘要： Provided are silver-containing powders and a method and apparatus for manufacturing the silver-containing particles of high quality, of a small size and narrow size distribution. An aerosol is generated from liquid feed and sent to a furnace, where liquid in droplets in the aerosol is vaporized to permit formation of the desired particles, which are then collected in a particle collector. The aerosol generation involves preparation of a high quality aerosol, with a narrow droplet size distribution, with close control over droplet size and with a high droplet loading suitable for commercial applications.

摘要： Provided is an aerosol method, and accompanying apparatus, for preparing powdered products of a variety of materials involving the use of an ultrasonic aerosol generator (106) including a plurality of ultrasonic transducers (120) underlying and ultrasonically energizing a reservoir of liquid feed (102) which forms droplets of the aerosol. Carrier gas (104) is delivered to different portions of the reservoir by a plurality of gas delivery ports (136) delivering gas from a gas delivery system. The aerosol is pyrolyzed to form particles, which are then cooled and collected. The invention also provides powders made by the method and devices made using the powders.

摘要： The present invention aims at providing a chemically stabilized inorganic phosphor, among oxynitride phosphors including alkaline earths, which oxynitride phosphor emits orange or red light at longer wavelengths at higher luminance than conventional sialon phosphors activated by rare earths. The present invention further aims at providing a light emitting instrument based on the phosphor, for a lighting instrument excellent in color rendering property and for an image displaying apparatus excellent in durability.The solving means resides in provision of a fundamental phosphor comprising:a composition on a pseudo-ternary phase diagram including AO (A is one kind or two or more kinds of element(s) selected from Mg, Ca, Sr, and Ba; and AO is oxide of A), Si3N4, and SiO2 as end members, respectively, and satisfying all of the following conditions:in a composition formula, pAO-qSi3N4-rSiO2(p+q+r=1), 0.1≦p≦0.95 (1), 0.05≦q≦0.9 (2), and 0≦r≦0.5 (3), and at least a metallic element M (M is one kind or two or more kinds of element(s) selected from Mn, Ce, Nd, Sm, Eu, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, and Yb) dissolved, in a solid state, in the composition.

摘要： A phosphor layer having improved contrast and brightness characteristics and a display device including the same are provided. The phosphor layer is made out of an ultra-fine pigment, a dispersant, a phosphor, a photosensitizer and a binder. The phosphor has a uniform distribution along the thickness of the phosphor layer, and the pigment varies in content over the thickness of the phosphor layer. A method of forming the phosphor layer is based on existing phosphor layer processes and includes a reduced number of processing steps than a filter screen method, thereby markedly lowering the manufacturing costs. The phosphor layer can be used in a cathode ray tube, a plasma display panel, a field emission display, and an organic electroluminescent device.
