摘要： A control housing is provided which encases a control board. The housing has a cover and a backing which are fixed together to secure the control board within the housing. The control board includes a plurality of switches, and the housing includes a plurality of corresponding buttons to activate the switches. The cover includes a cover surface having at least one button hole in register with the control board switch; operating insignia integrally formed on the cover surface adjacent the button hole; and a membrane which closes said button hole to form a button surface. The insignia is exposed through the membrane to be exposed and visible. The membrane is fused to the cover, thereby providing a housing which is sealed to substantially prevent gases, liquids or solids from entering the housing.

摘要： A switch matrix is disclosed for keypads used in devices such as primary control points for automation systems in homes vehicles, or businesses. The switch matrix preferably includes a support frame for supporting a grid of key positioning members arranged in a series of rows and columns. The key positioning members each preferably include cantilevers which can be deflected by pressing the keys to activate switches associated with the keypad. The cantilevers preferably have knobs which are received in corresponding openings in the keys so that the keys can be removably attached to the cantilevers with a compression fit. This allows keys of different sizes and shapes to be easily attached to the keypad in various configurations without the need for different attaching devices for each situation.

摘要： A method includes forming one or more holes in a flexible fabric layer, infusing polyurethane (PU) clay into the molding tool to form one or more key caps, and placing a flexible fabric layer over the molding tool, the holes being aligned with the key caps. Heat and pressure can be used over the fabric to bond the key caps to the fabric layer. A first layer and second layer of paint can be placed in the molding tool, followed by a laser etching process to etch a portion of the one or more key caps to remove a corresponding portion of the first layer of paint such that a portion of the second layer of paint is exposed. In some cases, the exposed portion of the second layer can be illuminated by the light source, which can be directed to the key cap by a light guide.

摘要： A multi-directional switch includes switches, a wiring board having an electrode, a pressure-sensitive body disposed over the electrode, a detection pin disposed on the upper surface of the pressure-sensitive body, and an operating body configured to push the detection pin and the switches by being tilted. The degree of a pushing force exerted by the operating body onto the detection pin changes the contact resistance between the pressure-sensitive body and the electrode.
