摘要： Customers obtain customized textile materials by selecting style, shape, size, pattern and color for an undyed textile product. Based on a selection made by the customer, the textile product is transformed by a dyeing operation performed on a single item (or multiple items selected to be dyed the same) to yield a product, such as a shirt, pants, or jacket, which has a color and pattern of his or her own choosing, in the size and style he or she desires. The process can be performed in a retail setting using a dye apparatus which allows the process to be viewed by the customer. To enhance the educational and entertainment experience of the customer, the dyeing operation can be performed in a transparent tank or water kettle in the retail outlet so that the customer can view, for example, the garment as it is being dyed to the customer's specifications.

Within the dyeing basin, there is a drum hinged to a rotational hollow shaft provided with a lot of bath movement paddles. Internal to the drum, there is a basket whose rotational axis is housed inside the hollow shaft of the drum where a pulley is keyed to the rotational hollow shaft of the drum and a pulley is keyed to the rotational axis of the basket. Each pulley is conventionally moved by belts with independent electric motors in such a way that the movement of the drum and the movement of the basket are independent.

摘要： A fabric tenter device having a pivotally mounted roof which may carry a nozzle box is provided with a counterbalance assembly enabling the roof and box to be pivotally shifted from the tenter covering to an open position by manual lifting forces. The counterbalance assembly is comprised of a lever divided into two arms, the lever being pivotally mounted on a fulcrum fixed to the tenter housing. The lever includes a weight arm underlying the roof and a power arm to the opposite side of the fulcrum. A chain having one end fixed to the power arm has its other end attached to a spring mechanism carried by the weight arm, the chain being arranged over a guide roller or rollers in such manner that the spring is tensioned to its maximum extent when the roof is in the tenter covering position.

摘要： An apparatus is disclosed for longitudinally compressing materials such as knit fabrics. The apparatus includes a frame with the frame having first and second spaced apart side walls. First and second drive rollers are supported between the side walls and first and second idler roller assemblies are also supported between the side walls. A first endless belt passes around the first drive roller and the first idler roller assembly and a second endless belt passes around the second drive roller and the second idler roller assembly. A fabric passing between the endless belts is appropriately longitudinally compressed thereby. The second side wall has an opening therethrough and closure means moveable between a closed and open position with respect to the opening. The first and second drive rollers and the first and second idler roller assemblies are cantilevered on the first wall when the closure means is moved to its open position and, in this manner, the endless belts can be easily removed from about the drive rollers and idler roller assemblies without disassembling the entire frame of the machine. As a further feature, first tension roller means engage the first endless belt, and second tension roller means engage the second endless belt. First support means are carried on the inner surface of the first side wall for adjustably carrying one end of the first tension roller, and second support means are rotatably carried on the inner surface of the second side wall for adjustably carrying the other end of the first tension roller means. The second tension roller means is similarly supported. Means are provided to rotate the second support means and essentially guide the endless belts back to their intended position on the respective rollers in the event such belts tend to move laterally on their rollers.

摘要： Processes and apparatus for dyeing a textile product are provided whereby an undyed textile product is introduced into a substantially anaerobic dyeing chamber having an oxygen content of less than 1000 ppm oxygen therein, and at least two dye mixtures having a differential dye exhaustion rate of at least 10% are applied onto the textile product within the substantially anaerobic dying chamber. Thereafter the dyed textile product may be exposed to an oxygen-containing atmosphere so as to oxidize the applied dyes. At least one of the dyes may have a dye exhaustion rate of at least about 25%, or even at least about 50%. The embodiments herein are especially adapted to dyeing of textile products whereby one dye in the at least two dye mixtures is a sulfur dye and another dye in the at least two dye mixtures is a leuco indigo dye.

The method can include positioning a treatment sheet adjacent to the fibrous substrate, transferring a salt (e.g., calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, or a mixture thereof) from the treatment sheet to the fibrous substrate using a wetting solution (e.g., an aqueous solution, such as water) to carry the salt from the treatment sheet into the fibrous substrate, and drying the fibrous substrate such that the salt remains in the substrate. For example, the transfer of the salt from the treatment sheet into the fibrous substrate can be accomplished via pressing the backside of the treatment sheet such that the wetting solution flows from the treatment sheet into the fibrous substrate while carrying the salt.
