The plant also includes in a first aspect stabilizer addition means for adding a stabilizer to the concentrated polymer fines at a location downstream of the flash and upstream of the vacuum devolatilizer. In another aspect the plant comprises means to add a molten stabilizer to the polymer at a location downstream of the reactors.

摘要： A method for the production of a water-absorbing resin is to be provided which permits enhancement and stabilization of property, for example, liquid permeability, of a water-absorbing resin by a simple and convenient method without requiring change of raw materials or expensive facility investment. The method comprises a polymerization step for polymerizing an aqueous solution of acrylic acid (or salt thereof) to obtain a hydrogel cross-linked polymer; a drying step for drying the hydrogel cross-linked polymer to obtain a water-absorbing resin powder; a classification step for classifying the water-absorbing resin powder; and a surface cross-linking step for surface cross-linking the water-absorbing resin powder before or after the classification step, wherein electricity is eliminated in the classification step.

摘要： A hyperbranched polymer synthesizing method employs living radical polymerization of a monomer in the presence of a metal catalyst. The method includes forming a shell portion by introducing an acid-decomposable group to a core portion formed of a hyperbranched polymer synthesized by living radical polymerization; forming an acid group by partially decomposing the acid-decomposable group by an acid catalyst; precipitating a core-shell hyperbranched polymer contained in a first solution and having the acid group, by mixing the first solution with ultrapure water; and extracting, from a mixed solution into an organic solvent by liquid-liquid extraction, the core-shell hyperbranched polymer having the acid group, wherein the mixed solution contains a second solution containing the core-shell hyperbranched polymer precipitated at the precipitating and dissolved into the organic solvent, and the ultrapure water of an amount yielding a prescribed ratio of the ultrapure water relative to the organic solvent in the second solution.

摘要： The invention is directed to polyalphaolefins (PAOs) and processes for forming PAOs. In one embodiment, the invention is to a process for forming a PAO comprising polymerizing C8-C12 α-olefin monomers in the presence of hydrogen, a C8-C12 saturated hydrocarbon, e.g., a C8-C12 saturated straight-chain hydrocarbon, and a catalyst system in a reaction vessel, wherein the C8-C12 saturated straight-chain hydrocarbon has about the same number of carbon atoms as the C8-C12 α-olefin monomers. The C8-C12 saturated straight-chain hydrocarbon optionally is derived from a crude PAO product formed by the process of the invention. The invention is also directed to reaction systems for performing the processes of the invention, to processes for controlling PAO viscosity based on residence time, and to the removal of spent catalyst using a solid adsorbent particles.

The method generally comprises polymerizing a monomer feed in a slurry polymerization reactor in the presence of catalyst and diluent to produce a polymerization effluent; continuously discharging at least a portion of said polymerization effluent from the reactor through a discharge valve; combining a catalyst poison stream with the polymerization effluent downstream of said discharge valve, wherein the catalyst poison stream comprises a catalyst poison that is a gas at standard conditions; and flashing the combination of polymerization effluent and catalyst poison stream in a first flash tank.
