    • The present invention relates to a cartridge for holding liquid, paste-like or powdered compounds and a piston for closing such a cartridge, and a system made up of such a cartridge, comprising a tool (15), wherein the piston comprises a cylindrical or cylindrical tube-like base member that can be placed into a cartridge and moved along the cylindrical longitudinal axis inside a cartridge, wherein at least one sealing lip (12) is provided that seals against a sealing surface running parallel to or at an acute angle with respect to the cylindrical longitudinal axis, wherein the sealing lip is arranged such that by way of a tool that can be accessed from an end side of the piston, the sealing lip can be lifted off the sealing surface when the cartridge is closed by the piston so that air can escape from the cartridge.

    • A vented piston (1) comprises a plunger (2) having a front side and a rear side, a venting passage (4) extending between the front side and the rear side, and a cap (7) located adjacent the front side. The cap is resiliently-biased by a spring (8) towards an open position in which air can pass through the venting passage from the front to the rear side of the plunger, and is movable from the open position into a closed position in which the cap closes the venting passage. The piston may be used in a storage chamber (10) of a dispensing system whereby air can be removed from the storage chamber by moving the plunger in the direction of a substance (12) stored in the chamber.

    • The multiple component metering and relative proportioning device, in particular a two-component co-axial device, comprises a cartridge (1) wherein at least one inner package assembly (3) containing one component is lodged within an outer package assembly (2) containing another component.     • A dispensing cartridge comprising a storage cylinder and a feeding piston. A sealing ring is inserted in the wall of the piston at a distance from the end of the feeding piston facing the cartridge contents. The end is additionally provided with a sealing lip and a V-shaped, circular groove disposed between the sealing lip and the piston wall. The bottom surface of the feeding piston facing the cartridge contents is provided with radially extending venting grooves which communicate with a venting bore, while the other ends of the venting grooves communicate with the V-shaped circular groove of the sealing lip. With the feeding piston sealed in this matter, outflow of the contents is effectively prevented even if aggressive substances, substances having a low viscosity, or substances having extremely high flow properties are contained. Moreover, the ability to store such substances is strongly increased.
