摘要： A vehicle seat comprises a seat assembly including a seat pan, a backrest assembly including a backrest pan, a backrest height adjustment mechanism connected between the seat pan and the backrest pan and including a height adjustment knob, and a backrest tilt adjustment mechanism connected between the seat pan and the backrest pan and including a tilt adjustment knob. The backrest pan can be tilted regardless of its vertical position relative to the seat pan and can be moved vertically regardless of its tilted position relative to the seat pan. The tilt adjustment mechanism further includes a connector assembly connected to and tiltable in response to rotation of the tilt adjustment knob and including a pair of relatively slideable connector members, one of the connector members being connected to the tilt adjustment knob and the other of the connector members being connected to the backrest pan. The height adjustment mechanism and the tilt adjustment mechanism include means to limit vertical and tilting movement, respectively, of the backrest pan.

摘要： A rotating seat pedestal has an outer tube, the wall of which has an I-shaped slot formed axially therein, telescoping over an inner tube connected to a floor base. The outer tube has brackets formed on either side of the slot, and a lever passing through the brackets has a pair of cam members mounted thereon, with one cam abutting each bracket. A sprocket is mounted on the lever intermediate the brackets. A spring-biased projection mounted transversely within the inner tube is shaped and dimensioned to protrude through the transverse portion of the slot when aligned therewith, thus indexing the seat pedestal in a forward-facing position. To lock the pedestal in a position other than forward-facing requires further turning of the lever in a first direction causing the first and second cams to pinch the brackets together thereby narrowing the slot and tightening the outer tube circumferentially onto the inner tube. The lever when rotated in a second directon loosens the outer tube and if locked in the forward-facing direction brings the sprocket into contact with the projection, forcing it inward to defeat the retaining action of the projection until the pedestal may rotate freely.

摘要： A tractor having a forwardly located control and a rearwardly located control and a seat mounted between the two controls. The seat has a seating support and a post which is telescoped within a sleeve affixed to the tractor. The post and seating support can be both raised and rotated, relative to the sleeve and the remainder of the tractor, for vertically adjusting the seat and for facing the seat toward the forward control or toward the rearward control. The post has pinholes and grooves, and the sleeve has a pin which can be received in any one of the holes for the elevating or turning of the seat in the selected position, as mentioned. The two controls are offset in the lateral direction of the tractor, and the seat is located and arranged to have its seating support offset relative to the post so that upon turning or rotating the seating support, the seating support is positioned in line with the selected one of the two controls.
