    • A rear suspension assembly for a drag racing vehicle in which the assembly includes a plurality of links with a brace assembly connecting a pair of links. The links provide a connection between the vehicle chassis and the rear axle housing. The brace assembly is attached to two links on opposite sides of the drive shaft, thereby maintaining the two links in a fixed spatial relationship. In one embodiment, the brace assembly includes members arranged in an X-shape, with the outboard ends of the X-shape attached to the distal ends of two links. In one such embodiment, the cross-brace assembly includes a cross-brace extending from the medial section of one link to the medial section of the opposite link and the cross-brace is connected to the center of the X-shaped brace. In another embodiment, the brace assembly includes members in a Y-shape in conjunction with members bridging the two links.

    • An axle suspension arrangement for rigid axles in vehicles with a frame having a pair of longitudinal beams. The suspension arrangement includes at least one first longitudinal control arm extending substantially in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, each longitudinal control arm being connected to the vehicle by a first pivotal joint and being connected to the vehicle axle by a second pivotal joint. The arrangement further includes a second longitudinal control arm connected to the vehicle by a third pivotal joint and connected to the vehicle axle by a fourth pivotal joint, the control arms being arranged on each side of the vehicle approximately at the same level, positioned above the first control arm, and a stabilizer bar counteracting lateral tilting movements of the axle. The stabilizer bar is arranged directly between and fixedly attached to the second longitudinal control arms at its ends. There is further disclosed a vehicle provided with such an axle suspension.

    • Provided is an apparatus for establishing a caster angle of a vehicle suspension system. The apparatus includes two air reservoirs, each reservoir having an extendable piston rod. The air reservoirs are juxtaposed, and are pivotally connected to a single bell crank. In particular, the bell crank is pivotally connected to each piston rod, and to a control arm of the vehicle suspension system for establishing the caster angle. Concerted pressurizing and exhausting of the air reservoirs extends and retracts the piston rods, causing the bell crank to rotate. Rotation of the bell crank induces movement of the control arm which translates into a rotation of an axle to a desired caster angle. In one embodiment, one air reservoir is a multi-chamber reservoir capable of doubling the force used to extend the piston rod, rotate the bell crank and adjust the caster angle.
