摘要： An adjustable folding chair is configured to include a central chair portion defining a pair of seat back mounting sections, a pair of front leg mounting sections, a pair of rear leg mounting sections, and a seat surface. A seat back is mounted on the seat back mounting sections for vertical movement to position the seat back at a desired position above the seat. Front and rear leg extensions are mounted on the front and rear leg mounting sections for vertical movement. A locking mechanism is housed in a horizontal strut in the front and rear leg extensions to control the positioning thereof. The locking mechanism includes a pair of opposing spring-biased locking pins and an actuator connected thereto that projects from the strut for engagement by the user. Such a chair construction permits the seat surface to be oriented in a plurality of discrete positions for comfortable utilization.

摘要： A dismantleable chair comprising a back member, leg members and a seat member all formed from generally two-dimensionally shaped materials such as plywood, and the like. The back member is somewhat arcuately shaped in both the horizontal and vertical cross-sections to provide superior seating comfort and strength. The arcuate shape also provides for a unique curved compressively pre-loaded joint design among the chair members, which substantially increases the strength and rigidity of the chair. The compressively preloaded joints are protected from bending and rotational loads by their respective positioning, and the presence of other spaced apart joints. The chair can be assembled and disassembled numerous times without loosing strength and rigidity.

摘要： A two piece portable chair movable between a use and a storage position. A seat member has two elongated side members with a number of slats fastened transversely across the side members. A back has two elongated side members with a flexible back supporting sheet across the side members, two cross pieces at the ends and two spaced support members extending transversely between the side members. The seat can be inserted between the support members for use as a chair. The seat can also be inserted lengthwise between the back side members and wedged in place to provide a compact package for transport and storage. Tapered ends on the seat side members wedge between the support members to hold the seat in place. One of the cross pieces provides a convenient carrying handle. Movable brackets may be provided, pivotable on a rod extending between the seat side members or between the back side members to allow the angle between seat and back to be varied.

摘要： The specification discloses a two-piece chair comprising two flat elements of substantial thickness one of which provides a back-rest and forward leg support and the other of which provides a seat and rear leg support of the chair. The back-rest element has a T-slot which extends longitudinally from the lower end and terminates in a transverse slot. The seat element is essentially of hour-glass shape having a neck portion which enables the seat element to be moved into intersecting interlocked relation with the transverse slot of the back-rest element so that the two elements assume an X position when assembled. The chair elements may be cast or molded of plastic material or metal, or fabricated of wood.
