    • The present invention is to provide a method for obtaining more efficiently isolated-soy protein, which has excellent gelation properties and shows neither bitterness nor astringency characteristic to soybean, while reducing the amount of water used in a soy protein manufacturing plant and thus lessening burden on the environment owing to the reduction in discharged water. It is a method for producing isolated-soy protein, including: an acid-washing step of washing defatted soybeans with an aqueous medium in a region of pH 3.0 to 5.0 to extract and remove whey components; an extraction step of extracting protein from acid-washed soybean slurry obtained in the acid-washing step with an aqueous medium in a neutral to alkaline region and then removing an extraction residue; and an isolation step of separating the extract solution obtained in the extraction step into water and protein while holding it in the neutral to alkaline region.

    • An object of the invention is that a user obtains high antenna gain with a simple construction in various use conditions of a portable wireless unit. To achieve the above object, in the invention, of a conductive antenna element, a part of a length of a substantially half-wavelength is used as a monopole part (1), and is disposed along the inside of a housing at the upper end of a portable wireless unit. Of the antenna element, the remaining part of a length of a substantially ¼ wavelength is used for an inverted-F antenna part (2), and disposed parallel to a ground plate surface within the housing of the portable wireless unit. The inverted-F antenna part (2) is disposed parallel to the upper end of the portable wireless unit (6). One end of the inverted-F antenna part (2) is connected to the ground plate (5) through an earthing point (3) provided at one end. A feeding point (4) is provided spaced from the earthing point by a predetermined distance. With such an arrangement, there is no need of using an impedance matching circuit. The construction of the portable wireless unit is simplified. High antenna gain is secured under various use conditions.

    • A ferrite core of the invention is useful for reducing the power loss of Ni--Cu--Zn ferrites, and so for particle accelerators, and power transformers. This core comprises a ferrite magnetic material containing as major components 47 to 50 mol % of iron oxide calculated as Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3, 10 to 25 mol % of nickel oxide calculated as NiO, 2 to 15 mol % of copper oxide calculated as CuO and 15 to 35 mol % of zinc oxide calculated as ZnO, and further containing as subordinate components 0.05 to 1.5 wt % of cobalt oxide calculated as CoO, 0.05 to 0.8 wt % of tungsten oxide calculated as WO.sub.3 and 0.03 to 0.5 wt % of bismuth oxide calculated as Bi.sub.2 O.sub.3, all based on the major components. Consequently, there is achieved a ferrite core having a power loss at 100.degree. C. of up to 210 kW/m.sup.3, and a power loss at 25.degree. C. of up to 140 kW/m.sup.3, as measured at f.multidot.Bm product=25 kTHz (f=1 to 10 MHz).
