    • A navigation apparatus for displaying a service selection menu on a user terminal so as to navigate a user at the time of selection of a service provider. A traffic obtaining portion obtains band used by each circuit accommodating each service provider from a network controller, and a menu optimizing portion creates a service selection menu which reflects the band used by each circuit accommodating each service provider and displays the menu on a user terminal. When a user selects a predetermined service provider from the service selection menu, a service executing means judges whether or not the user terminal can be connected to the selected service provider, and if connectable, requests a path setting portion to set a path between the user terminal and the selected service provider. The path setting portion connects the user terminal to the selected service provider by an exchange.

    • An inrush protection circuit is provided for an electronic ballast for powering HID lamps. A first resistor is positioned along a low potential side of the circuit and a switching element coupled in parallel with the first resistor. Second and third resistors are coupled in series and effective to receive DC input power from a DC source, with a first node between the second and third resistors further coupled to the gate of the switching element. A capacitor is coupled in parallel with the third resistor to provide a smoothed DC voltage to the gate of the switching element. A discharging circuit includes a diode and a fourth resistor coupled in series between the first node and the high potential side of the circuit, and is arranged to conduct discharging current from the capacitor until the voltage across the capacitor discharges below a predetermined voltage after the DC input power is removed from the circuit.

Further, this pellicle 10 can be easily peeled off from a photomask 5 and replaced with a new one.

    • An electronic ballast includes a microprocessor which is programmed to read a voltage value corresponding to an output of the electronic ballast, output a signal which controls an amount of power outputted by the electronic ballast in accordance with the voltage value, read an external voltage value, and select one of a trimming mode and a normal mode as an operating mode based on the external voltage value. The microprocessor is also programmed, when operating in the trimming mode, to set an internal reference value, compare the voltage value corresponding to the output of the electronic ballast with the internal reference value, trim an amount of power outputted by the electronic ballast to a resistor corresponding to an impedance of a High Intensity Discharge lamp by adjusting the signal based upon the comparison, and store a result of the signal adjustment.
