    • In a navigation device for providing a guide from an origin to a destination, a display section (5) displays a guide image indicating the guide to the destination. A state acquisition section (10) acquires a state outside a vehicle. A photographed guide generation section (9) generates a photographed guide image, using a photographed image of a captured forward direction of the vehicle. A map guide generation section (8) generates a map guide image, using map information. Based on the state outside the vehicle acquired by the state acquisition section (10), a state determination section (11) determines which one of the photographed guide image and the map guide image is to be displayed by priority. Based on the determination made by the state determination section (11), a guide display control section (12) allows the guide image including at least one of the photographed guide image and the map guide image to be displayed in the display section (5).

    • A data protection system is disclosed which is installed in a game machine together with a rewritable storage device, and protects the data stored in the storage device from illegal changes. A command receiving unit receives from the outside a command requesting data processing for the storage device. The received command is checked by a judgment unit against each valid command stored in a command storage unit. When the received command matches one of the valid commands, a data processing unit instructs the storage device to perform the data processing requested by the received command. When the received command does not match any of the valid commands, the data processing unit does not instruct the storage device to perform the data processing requested by the received command.

    • A flexible cable is provided in which a transmission characteristic can be ensured in a high frequency band, and electromagnetic noises can be suppressed. The flexible cable 11 has a differential signal wire group 7 including differential signal wires 6 through which differential signals pass and guard ground wires 9a which prevent the interference from other differential signals; a low-speed signal wire 8 through which a low-speed signal passes; a ground wire 9 used as a ground; and a shield ground wire 10 which is adapted to allow the electric potential of the shield member 4 to be identical to the electric potential of the ground, all of which are provided in the adhesive 2. The differential signal wires 6 are not covered with the shield member 4.

    • Provided is a navigation device which can superpose a route guide object on an actually captured image so that the route guide object coincides with a road even if the accuracy of the road shape data is at the current level. The navigation device displays on a screen, a route guide object indicating a route along which a vehicle should advance. The navigation device includes: an imaging unit for capturing an actual image in front of the vehicle; a white line detection unit which detects a road white line on the actually captured image; a map information storage unit which stores map information containing road shape data expressing a road shape; a road shape data correction unit which corrects the road shape data according to the road white line detection result so that the route guide object is displayed along the road white line; a route guide object generation unit which generates a route guide object according to the corrected road shape data; and a display unit which displays the generated route guide object on the screen.
