    • Provided is a navigation apparatus operable to, in route guidance using a photographed image, dynamically set a frequency of updating a guide arrow in accordance with circumstances. The navigation apparatus performs the route guidance by displaying the photographed image, comprising: a searching section (7) for searching a route from a current position to a destination; and a drawing section (11) for displaying the guide arrow which indicates the route searched by the searching section (7) such that the guide arrow is superimposed on the photographed image, wherein the drawing section (11) dynamically sets a frequency of updating a display of the guide arrow based on a predetermined condition.

    • An object of the present invention is to provide an information display device for presenting, to a user, a correspondence between a position in an actual landscape and a position on a map image. In an information display device (IDA, IDAr), a photographed image acquisition section (1) acquires a photographed image (IC), a map information storage section (4) stores map information (IG) so as to generate a map image (IM), an image display section (7, 8) displays the photographed image (IC) and the map image (IM), an input section (6) designates at least one structure (Rc/Rg) which is displayed in either the photographed image (IC) or the map image (IM) based on an operation performed by the user, and a structure correspondence acquisition section (5) acquires a correspondence (ICb) between the designated structure displayed in either the photographed image (IC) or the map image (IM) and a structure displayed in the other image.

    • In a navigation device for providing a guide from an origin to a destination, a display section (5) displays a guide image indicating the guide to the destination. A state acquisition section (10) acquires a state outside a vehicle. A photographed guide generation section (9) generates a photographed guide image, using a photographed image of a captured forward direction of the vehicle. A map guide generation section (8) generates a map guide image, using map information. Based on the state outside the vehicle acquired by the state acquisition section (10), a state determination section (11) determines which one of the photographed guide image and the map guide image is to be displayed by priority. Based on the determination made by the state determination section (11), a guide display control section (12) allows the guide image including at least one of the photographed guide image and the map guide image to be displayed in the display section (5).
