摘要： A method for sorting slide films stored in a magazine. One slide film has a mount made of a rigid material such as thick paper, and an exposed film or a picture image is mounted on the mount. In a sequence of operations to take out a film slide from a magazine storing a plurality of slides, transport the same for a predetermined treatment and transport again to another place for storing the same in a different magazine or a bucket, a dummy slide which can be easily discerned is inserted for every group of slides sorted according to an arbitrary classification, for example by clients or by subjects, to thereby facilitate a sorting operation.

摘要： An information reading device for an optical disk has a peak level detector, a coupling capacitor, a comparator, and a resetting circuit. The comparator produces an on-track signal based on a detected peak signal from the peak level detector. Information tracks on the optical disk are searched based on a count of pulses of the on-track signal. The resetting circuit has a boundary detector and a switching circuit. The boundary detector produces a boundary signal indicative of the boundary between recorded and unrecorded regions on the optical disk. In response to the boundary signal, the switching circuit discharges stored charges of the coupling capacitor in the unrecorded region, causing detected peak signals in the recorded and unrecorded region to vary in amplitude across a common reference level.

The involves the steps of preforming a patterned insert material clamped at end parts thereof by a clamping device into a predetermined shape corresponding to the shape of a cavity formation face of a male die or a female die of an injection molding die by a preforming device, and trimming an unnecessary portion of the preformed material by a trimming device so as not to project from the peripheral edge of the surface of a cubic molded article to be formed of molding resin. The method further involves setting the trimmed material at the cavity formation face of the male or female die of the injection molding die, clamping the male and female dies to form a cavity by the cavity formation faces, injecting molding resin into the cavity, and removing the insert molded article from the injection molding die after the molding resin is cooled and softened. During preforming, a preforming die having a projecting part corresponding in shape to the cavity formation face of the injection molding die is used, so that the patterned insert material can be preformed corresponding to the shape of the projecting part of the preforming die. Moreover, prior to the preforming of the patterned insert material, the patterned insert material is heated and softened after, before, or while being held in contact with the top face of the projecting part of the preforming die, so that the patterned insert material is preformed to trace the projecting part of the preforming die.

摘要： An apparatus and corresponding method for reducing and displaying N input video scenes within a larger, selected main video scene. A main picture signal is selected from the N input picture signals. The N input signals are then selected sequentially by a counter to be auxiliary picture signals that are stored in respective areas of a digital memory. By switching the output signal between the main picture scene signal and the auxiliary picture scene signals from memory, the auxiliary picture scenes may be displayed at predetermined locations within the main picture scene. Additionally, one of the N input video signals may be from video tape recorder having an input provided by any of the remaining N-1 input video signals. Proper recording by the video tape recorder may then be monitored as one of the N auxiliary picture scenes.
