摘要： A hydraulic device at least has a pair of helical gears 20, 23, a body 3 containing the gears, bearing members 40, 44 supporting rotating shafts 21, 24 of the gears 20, 23, and cover plates 7, 8, 11 liquid-tightly fixed to both end surfaces of the body. The cover plate 8 has a cylinder hole 8a formed at a portion opposite to an end surface of the rotating shaft 21 of the gear 20 which receives two thrust forces Fma, Fpa in the same direction, and a piston 9 is inserted through the cylinder hole 8a. A working liquid in a high-pressure side is caused to act on a back surface of the piston 9 and thereby the piston 9 is pressed onto the end surface of the rotating shaft 21, thereby causing a drag almost balancing a resultant force of the two thrust forces Fma, Fpa to act on the rotating shaft 21. The thrust forces Fma, Fpa acting on the gear 20 are cancelled by this drag.

摘要： A pair of meshed gears is disposed in a hydraulic chamber of a housing. Bushes in the chamber contact both end surfaces of the gears. Edge surfaces of the gears are chamfered at intermediate parts between tooth tips and tooth bottoms, and the inclination of the intermediate parts is larger than those of the tooth tips and bottom, thereby protecting the edges from damage due to contact force as the gears mesh and preventing leakage between the gears and the support members. Accordingly, the gears may be operated quietly, at high output efficiency, and increased reliability for an extended period.

摘要： A stator for use in an electric rotating machine is provided which includes a stator winding wound through slots of a stator core. The stator winding is made up of a plurality of conductor segments connected together. Each of the conductor segments includes an in-slot portion disposed inside one of the slots and out-slot portions extending from the in-slot portion outside at least one of the ends of the stator core. Ends of the out-slot portions are joined together to form the stator winding. The joints of the ends of the out-slot portions have a given pattern of texture formed on surfaces thereof and coated with an insulating material. The pattern of texture enhances the adhesion of the insulating coatings to the surfaces of the joints and ensures the stability in electric insulation of the joints.

摘要： An image processing apparatus structured by combining an image reading apparatus and an image formation apparatus with each other enables a user to freely combine these apparatuses without considering the sum of power consumption of the image reading apparatus and power consumption of the image formation apparatus. When the sum of power consumption of a reader unit and power consumption of a printer unit exceeds, e.g., 1.5 kW, the reader unit is set to be in a low power consumption mode such that the sum of power consumption becomes equal to or smaller than 1.5 kW. Even when the low power consumption mode of the least power consumption quantity is selected and the sum of power consumption still exceeds 1.5 kW, use of the apparatus is inhibited and the inhibition is displayed.

摘要： Disclosed is an image processing apparatus in which, when the apparatus has not been not used for a prescribed period of time, control is performed so as to halt feed of current not only to a display unit and fixing heater but also to other components not required to operate when the apparatus is not in use, and in which on/off control of the power supply also can be performed through a more compact and less expensive arrangement. When a manually operated switch is being pressed by an operator, a transistor is turned on via the contacts of the switch so that power from a smoothing unit is applied to a regulator. The regulator supplies operating power to a microcomputer, which subsequently controls the status of the apparatus power supply depending upon the on/off state of an output port of the microcomputer. Supply of driving power to other components of the apparatus is achieved by opening and closing contacts through control of a relay in response to an output from another output port of the microcomputer.
