    • The invention provides an image display apparatus and an image display method of excellent image quality, by correcting the voltage drop resulting from the electrical resistance of the wirings with a simple configuration. There are provided adjustment data calculation means for calculating, for input image data, adjustment data for correcting the influence of the voltage drop resulting from the electrical resistance of the row wirings and gray scale number converting means for converting the number of gradation levels of the adjustment data. Modulation means outputs a signal modulated in the voltage amplitude to each column wiring, based on the adjustment data outputted by and subjected to the conversion of gradation levels by the gray scale number converting means.

    • An image display apparatus includes an image display devices driven in a matrix by a plurality of row wirings and column wirings, a scanning circuit for sequentially selecting and scanning the row wirings, a modulation circuit for applying a modulated signal, voltage amplitude of which varies in one pulse signal, to the column wirings, and a voltage drop compensation circuit for calculating corrected image data for reducing an influence of voltage drops due to at least resistance components of the row wirings, with respect to image data. The voltage drop compensation circuit include an effective voltage calculating circuit for finding an effective voltage value on the basis of the image data, and a compensation value calculating circuit for calculating a compensation value for reducing an influence of voltage drops due to at least resistance components of the row wirings, with respect to the effective voltage value. The modulation circuit outputs a modulated signal, a voltage amplitude of which varies in one pulse signal, on the basis of the corrected image data.

    • Provided are a battery state monitoring circuit and a battery device, in which, even when one secondary battery becomes an overcharged state or an overdischarged state and then a voltage detection circuit operates, power is not consumed in only the one secondary battery. The battery state monitoring circuit includes: a plurality of voltage detection circuits which are provided for a plurality of secondary batteries, respectively, for detecting voltages of the plurality of secondary batteries; and a current bypass circuit provided in each of the plurality of voltage detection circuits, for allowing an operation current of the each of the plurality of voltage detection circuits to flow into a ground terminal. Therefore, when only one secondary battery becomes an overcharged state or an overdischarged state, the battery device operates so that the power of all the secondary batteries is consumed to prevent voltages between the secondary batteries from being unbalanced.
