    • A plasma display device is provided which has a first substrate and a second substrate; a first electrode and a second electrode formed on the first substrate to perform sustain discharge on the first substrate; a third electrode formed on the second substrate to perform address discharge between the second electrode and the third electrode; a dielectric layer formed of a silicon oxide film in a manner to cover the first and second electrodes on the first substrate; and a discharge gas existing between the first and second substrates and having a Xe concentration within 10%±2.5%. The dielectric layer has a thickness within 10 μm±2.5 μm. The first to third electrodes constitute one pixel, and display of 1920×1080 pixels is possible.

    • A first signal line for supplying a potential to one terminal of a capacitive load, a first switch element for supplying a first potential to the first signal line, a first drive circuit for driving the first switch element, and a second signal line for supplying a second potential different from the aforesaid first potential to the one terminal of the capacitive load are included. A first capacitor is capable of supplying a lower potential than the first and the third potentials to the first signal line. A coil circuit is connected between the first signal line or the second signal line and a supply line for supplying the third potential. A floating power supply circuit supplies power supply voltage with a potential of the first signal line as a reference to the first drive circuit.

    • A plasma display device includes: a plasma display panel; driving circuits for applying voltages to multiple electrodes of the panel; and a power supply circuit for supplying power supply voltage to the driving circuits, wherein the driving circuits apply positive sustain discharge voltage higher than ground and negative sustain discharge voltage lower than ground to the multiple electrodes at the sustain discharge, the driving circuit has high-level shift circuits and low-level shift circuits and includes pre-driver ICs to which an activation potential of the high-level shift circuit, an activation potential of the low-level shift circuit, and a reference potential have to be applied, the power supply circuit includes a positive sustain discharge voltage generating unit and a reference potential generating unit which generates the reference potential from the positive sustain discharge voltage, and when activating the pre-driver IC, an activation potential is applied prior to the reference potential.
