摘要： The ink cartridge has a first detection target portion for detecting ink level and a second detection target portion for identifying the type of an ink cartridge. The ink level detection device uses an optical sensor to scan the first and second detection target portions of the ink cartridge, and detects ink level and the type of the ink cartridge, that is, whether the ink cartridge is containing standard amount of ink or large amount of ink. Therefore, the number of image formation on recording media can be estimated, and failure in image formation due to a shortage of ink in the middle of image formation can be inhibited.

摘要： An image forming apparatus which corrects a transfer amount of a recording material without a scanner is provided. A paper is transferred to a position in which the transfer amount is adjusted by an LF roller, and a plurality of test pattern images, each of which is composed of a first pattern image and a second pattern image, are printed. Then, the paper is transferred to a position in which the transfer amount is adjusted by an exit roller, and the aforementioned plurality of test pattern images are printed. The plurality of test pattern images differ from each other in the transfer amount between printings of the first pattern image and the second pattern image. A degree of error in the transfer amount of the respective rollers can be visually observed. Accordingly, by receiving an input based on the printed test pattern images, it is possible to correct the transfer amount of the respective rollers.

The system has an accelerator pedal for controlling an engine speed, and a control lever for controlling the direction of movement of the vehicle, or the system is provided with a seesaw type accelerator pedal for controlling the engine speed and the direction of movement of the vehicle.An EXNOR gate is provided for detecting deceleration of the engine while the accelerator pedal is depressed. When deceleration is detected, the throttle valve is returned to an engine idling position or the supply of fuel is cut. Thus, an effective engine braking can be obtained when the direction of movement of the vehicle is changed while the accelerator pedal is depressed.A window comparator is provided for detecting the area near the end of deceleration, so that the engine speed is increased prior to the commencement of acceleration.

The nozzle includes a nozzle body and a needle valve slidably disposed in a guide hole of the nozzle body with a spray hole communicating a body seat formed inside the nozzle body and the forward end of the needle valve. A swirl passage is provided around the needle valve for giving a swirl flow influence around the axis of the needle valve to fuel when the needle valve is lifted from the body seat. A straight passage is provided in a portion where the inner wall of the guide hole and the needle valve make sliding contact for giving the fuel a straight flow influence in the axial direction of the needle valve. The two flows are joined prior to passing through the spray hole.

摘要： The objective of the present invention is to provide an exhaust purification system that is capable of purifying exhaust gas during both lean and stoichiometric driving. The exhaust purification system is equipped with: a feedback-use identifier, which identifies parameter values such that the error between the output value from a LAF sensor and the estimated value for the LAF sensor output as obtained from a model equation is minimized; and a stoichiometric driving mode controller. The controller performs feedback control and thereby determines the fuel injection amount such that in the stoichiometric driving mode the equivalence ratio value as calculated from the parameters reaches a target value which is set such that a three-way purification reaction occurs in an under-engine catalyst. The identifier identifies the model parameters before feedback control is initiated by the controller.
