摘要： An armature for an electric motor has a lamination stack on a shaft with a commutator mounted on one end of the shaft. Magnet wires wound in slots in the lamination stack, the commutator and armature shaft are at least partially encapsulated in a first plastic, such as by insert molding. The commutator has a commutator ring divided into a plurality of segments with slots between the segments that are filled with a second plastic when the commutator is made by molding a core of the second plastic, such as phenolic, in the commutator ring before the commutator ring is mounted on the armature shaft. Where the commutator is a tang type commutator, the commutator ring has notches at axial ends of the slots which is filled with the second plastic when the second plastic is molded. The mold used to mold the first plastic includes projections that extend between the tangs of the commutator and against the notches at axial ends of the slots of the commuter. The notches filled with the second plastic and the projections of the mold prevent plastic flash from getting into the slots of the commutator ring. In a stuffer type commutator, the commutator has inserts of insulative material extending part way into the slots of the commutator from an inner end of the commutator. The mold used to mold the first plastic has a portion that seals around the inner end of the commutator ring above the inserts to prevent plastic flash from getting into the slots between the segments of the commutator ring.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a bird feeder with a guard protecting against contamination of the bird feed contained within the feeder. The feeder comprises a housing that defines a feed chamber. This housing includes a lid, wherein the lid has at least one opening. This opening can be used by birds to access food within the feeder. As mentioned above, the feeder includes a guard. This guard is formed integrally or it can be a separate part attached to the lid near or at an opening. In one aspect, the guard includes an occluding element, wherein this occluding element is in communication with a biasing element. The occluding element has a first position which occludes an opening sufficiently to prevent animals other than certain birds from gaining access to said feed chamber. This occluding element is capable of being movable to a second position by applied external pressure to the occluding element thus permitting access to said chamber. As the applied pressure is withdrawn, the occluding element substantially returns to its first position.

摘要： A circuit and a method for nullifying temperature dependence of a circuit characteristic. The circuit includes a plurality of transistors configured such that they generate a gate voltage that includes a threshold voltage as a component. The gate voltage is applied to a transistor to generate a current that is proportional to a process transconductance parameter. The current is applied to a comparator having a differential pair of transistors, wherein each transistor has a process transconductance parameter. The circuit takes the ratios of the process transconductance parameter associated with the current to that of each transistor of the differential pair. By ratioing the process transconductance parameters, temperature dependence is nullified or negated. The ratios can be used to set the hysteresis voltage of the comparator.

摘要： An apparatus for attachment to a full-face helmet which positions a hydration tube near the mouth of the wearer. The device includes a flexible member formed from plastic or rubber having a central elongated portion and opposing side arm members. The central elongated portion has an elongated vertical slot therein dimensioned to allow the hydration tube to be slidably disposed therein. Left and right attachment means are respectively disposed on each of the opposing side arm members which secure the opposing arm members to the face protector portion of the helmet so that the flexible member can be suspended inside the helmet and the hydration tube inserted in the slot. The attachment means can be a pair of straps securable to one another. The apparatus can further include an air filter face mask attachable to the flexible T-shaped member.
