    • A flywheel arrangement has a first flywheel releasably connected with the crankshaft of an internal combustion engine, a second flywheel rotatable relative to the first flywheel, and a torque carrier including a torsional vibration damper disposed between the two flywheels in a chamber at least partially filled with a viscous medium. The chamber is bounded on its side facing the second flywheel by a cover plate, which cover plate coordinates preferably with a seal disposed in the radially inward region of the cover plate. The seal has a plurality of sealing elements disposed one after another in the discharge direction of the viscous medium, and the sealing elements are installed up to gap width on the respective associated components to be sealed, whereby at least one of these sealing elements is associated with a flow guide which is used to divert viscous medium into a return channel leading into the chamber.

    • A dual-mass flywheel comprises a primary mass (7) which is adapted to be fastened to a crankshaft (3) of an internal-combustion engine concentric to an axis of rotation (1) and a secondary mass (9) which is mounted for rotation relative to the primary mass (7) around the axis of rotation (1). The secondary mass (9) is coupled in a rotationally elastic manner to the primary mass (7) by a torsion-damping arrangement (19). The primary mass has two formed sheet-metal parts (35, 37) which define a cavity (47) to accommodate springs (17) of the torsion-damping arrangement (19) and is provided with supplementary masses in order to increase the moment of inertia. The supplementary masses may be made up of extensions (45, 63) of the formed sheet-metal parts (35, 37) or of additionally welded-on mass-rings (67). In particular, the supplementary masses are located in a region which is generally radially outwardly of the secondary mass (9).

    • A friction clutch for arrangement in the power train of a motor vehicle. The friction clutch includes a flywheel mass arrangement to be fastened to an input shaft rotating about an axis of rotation. A pressure plate unit with a clutch housing is held at the flywheel mass arrangement. A contact-pressure plate is guided so as to be axially displaceable relative to the clutch housing and the flywheel mass arrangement. A clutch spring arrangement axially spring loads the contact-pressure plate toward the flywheel mass arrangement. A clutch disk with friction facings projects between, on the one side, friction surfaces of the flywheel mass arrangement which are located axially opposite one another and, on the other side, the contact-pressure plate. The flywheel mass arrangement and the contact-pressure plate are coupled with one another in a torsionally elastic manner with reference to the axis of rotation in order to limit the peak torque transmitted through the friction clutch. For this purpose, the flywheel mass arrangement is preferably constructed as a two-mass flywheel.
