摘要： The present invention provides methods and apparatus for supporting geographical-based services in a communications system. In an embodiment of the invention, a terminal node (e.g., a wireless terminal) inserts geographical information into a header portion of an IPv6 datagram. The serving network utilizes the geographical information to support a geographical-based service. In another embodiment, a terminal node, which is located in a geographical area, receives service configuration information regarding service regions from a serving network and determines what services are supported in the geographical area. In an embodiment, header formats for the inserted geographical information in a propagated signal between a terminal node and a serving network are provided.

The system also includes a first network entity capable of adding padding data to the received content, where the content and padding data form aggregate content having a size greater than a size of the content. Alternatively, the first network entity can modify a file allocation table entry of content stored by the terminal to thereby increase a perceived size of the content. A second network entity of the system is capable of accessing the aggregate content, and thereafter extracting the received content from the aggregate content upon request for the received content. Alternatively, the second network entity can extract the file allocation table entry of the received content from the modified file allocation table entry, and thereafter assemble the received content from the file allocation table entry of the received content.

摘要： A terrestrial digital video broadcasting (DVB-T) receiver in the form of a set-top box transmits an electronic service guide (ESG) to a mobile terminal in the form of a mobile telephone handset. A user can browse the ESG using the mobile telephone handset and select content to record. The mobile telephone handset transmits an instruction to the set-top box to record content. The set-top box records the content. The content is transferred to the mobile telephone handset when a personal area network connection between the set-top box and handset is established. Different content transfer modes may be specified. Content transfer or the timing of content transfer may be made conditional on the location of the mobile telephone handset, the type of connection available and the amount of content to be transferred. Content recovery may be used to help provide robust content transfer.

摘要： The invention relates generally to a method and an arrangement (600) for reducing power consumption and an RF transmission arrangement and RF receiver. Particularly the invention relates to controlling and reducing power consumption in a radio receiver. The essential idea of the invention is to insert information to at least one symbol, which symbol is transferred in at least one transport stream packet. According to the invention the transport stream packets are sent to the receiver in predetermined order, and the order is informed to the receiver, whereupon the receiver can control power consumption with a transport stream packet level resolution. The receiver is advantageously arranged so that at least part of the receiver is turned off for a period during the time between receiving at least two transport stream packets. The invention may advantageously be applied in receiving arrangements of radio systems, wherein information is transferred in packets, such as a receiver of Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) system.

摘要： The invention relates to the insetting of a moving picture in a moving main picture when the picture signals are in an encoded digital format. The main idea is that the picture signals are combined prior to decoding. The frames of the picture to be inset are scaled down by reducing the number of macro blocks in them in such a manner that the picture whole is retained. The macro blocks of a certain area of the main picture are replaced by the macro blocks of the reduced picture and the combined video signal is decoded. The video signals (ES1, ES2) to be combined may be picked up from different sources or extracted from a transport stream where they are in packets. The system according to the invention requires only a single decoder (210), which considerably reduces the amount of computation required by the combination of the pictures. The advantage is emphasized if there are several pictures to be combined.
