    • The invention relates to a process for preparing sulphonyl-ureas of the general formula (I) ##STR1## wherein Ar.sub.1 represents a phenyl, naphthyl or thienyl group, the derivatives thereof substituted by C.sub.1-4 alkyl, C.sub.1-4 haloalkyl, (halo)alkoxycarbonyl, (halo)alkyloxy, nitro, cyano groups as well as by halogen atoms,Ar.sub.2 represents a phenyl, pyridyl, pirimidinyl or triazinyl group and the derivatives thereof substituted by C.sub.1-4 (halo)alkyl, C.sub.1-4 (halo)alkyloxy, amino, O-acyl, O-arylsulphonyl, O-(substituted carbamoyl) groups as well as by halogen atoms.According to the invention N-halogen aryl sulphonamidate is reacted in the presence of a carbonylating catalyst, carbon monoxide and an aromatic amine, optionally in the presence of a phase transfer catalyst, or N-halogen aryl sulphonamidate is reacted with carbon monoxide in the presence of a carbonylating catalyst, and optionally in the presence of a phase transfer catalyst, then the obtained reaction mixture is further reacted with an aromatic amine or an N-halogen-arylamine-alkali metal salt is reacted with aryl-sulphonamid in the presence of a carbonylating catalyst, carbon monoxide and optionally in the presence of a phase transfer catalyst or an amine, amine dihalogenid, aryl sulphonamid are reacted in the presence of a carbonylating catalyst and carbon monoxide and the obtained reaction mixture is worked up in a known manner.The thus prepared sulphonyl-ureas are biologically active compounds, which are used in the pharmaceutical industry and for regulating plant growth.

    • A double profile drawing tool includes a mandrel having a profile drawing die formed therein with first and second portions extending in opposite directions, associated therewith. The mandrel is disposed in a supported surrounding manner within a structure including a housing body and an embedding component. The embedding component is securely fixed within the housing body by way of a support plate which is joined to the housing body in a shrink fit manner. The structure formed by the housing body, support plate, with the mandrel and embedding component contained therein, is then securely mounted within a U-shaped outer housing member. First and second tapered openings are formed on opposite sides and along the longitudinal axis of the double profile drawing tool, such tapered openings providing communication to the first and second portions of the profile drawing die from opposite directions. The double profile drawing tool can be reversed for operation in an opposite direction once it has been determined that one portion of the profile drawing die has been worn. In either direction of operation, the mandrel is positively supported so as to prevent movement and to insure that a substantial portion of loading forces are directed away from the profile drawing die.

    • The invention relates to a harvester adapter with stalk shredder for harvesting grain crops, particularly sunflower, comprising a frame structure attached to a combine harvester, and at least two crop gathering units having a snout, where the crop gathering units are secured to the frame structure. Neighbouring crop gathering units are arranged such that a channel with an open leading end is formed between them, with a stalk gathering unit being disposed in driving connection with a harvesting mechanism on at least one side of the channels. The adapter has a collecting auger disposed rearward from the harvesting mechanism and at least one stalk shredder unit attached to the frame structure. The speed of the stalk gathering unit (5) is continuously adjustable by control orders given by the combine harvester and/or by a speed meter disposed on the adapter and/or by the operator, and the stalk shredder units (16) are attached to the frame structure (3) such that their position is adjustable in a direction perpendicular to the direction of travel.
