    • A pointing device for use with a keyboard functions like a computer mouse. It incorporates a plurality of configurable function keys. The pointing device is composed of a rolling surface capable of rotation and translation that may activate a switch when it is depressed. An optical sensor monitors the rotation and translation of the rolling surface and translates that motion into communications interpretable by a mouse software driver. An edge sensor allows repositioning of the rolling surface without cursor movement when limits of travel are reached. The pointing device communicates with the computer through a serial communication facility such as a PS/2 or USB connection. The enclosure containing the rolling surface incorporates an aperture allowing a portion of the rolling surface to be available for manipulation, an elevated support surface for the keyboard and provision for palm rests.

    • A switch device for forwarding an incoming call from a mobile phone to a phone set coupled to a public telecom network, allowing the user to answer the incoming call of the mobile phone by a phone set, is disclosed. The switch device includes a central processing unit, a communication loop switching circuit for establishing a communication loop for the phone set, a relay controllable by the central processing unit, an incoming call detecting circuit for detecting the incoming call of the mobile phone and correspondingly generating an output signal to the central processing unit, an audio signal converting circuit for converting the audio signal carried on the earphone connecting lines and the microphone connecting lines of the mobile phone into an audio signal form adapted to be coupled to the phone set, and a power supplying circuit for supplying a power source to the audio signal converting circuit. The switch device further includes a ring generation circuit for generating a simulating ring signal when the incoming call is detected by the incoming call detecting circuit.

    • A method for analyzing content of multimedia files is presented. The method comprises processing messages from mail servers, determining a type of the message, executing a convert module and obtaining text content of the message when said type is audio, extracting text from the text content or the message, creating a text version of components from the text, dividing the text version into different files, and analyzing the different files. Further, the messages can be captured, sent to a pending folder, retrieved from the pending folder. Creating the text version and dividing the text version can be performed by a mail engine. Natural language processing can be performed on the files. The text can be examined for compliance and, if appropriate, marked with quarantine violations.
