摘要： A glass substrate manufacturing method advantageously applicable to magnetic recording disk glass substrates, LCD glass substrates, photomask glass substrates, or optical memory glass substrates. The glass substrate is formed by chemically strengthening a glass substrate by immersing the glass substrate in a chemical reinforcement solution heated and then ion exchanging ions on the surface layer of the glass substrate with ions in the chemical reinforcement solution; removing the substrate from the chemical reinforcement solution and then annealing it to a temperature higher than the crystallization temperature of a molten salt; rapidly cooling the glass substrate at a rate at which the crystallization of the molten salt deposited on the surface of the glass substrate is prevented; and then cleaning the surface of the glass substrate. Moreover, the glass substrate is formed by chemically strengthening a glass substrate by immersing the glass substrate in a chemical reinforcement solution heated and then ion exchanging ions on the surface layer of the glass substrate with ions in the chemical reinforcement solution; and removing the substrate from the chemical reinforcement solution and then cleaning the surface of the glass substrate with a cleaning agent containing acid.

摘要： A glass substrate manufacturing method advantageously applicable to magnetic recording disk glass substrates, LCD glass substrates, photomask glass substrates, or optical memory glass substrates. This method includes the steps of forming a film of a solution on at least a principal surface of a sheet glass formed using a down-drawing method, the solution containing a water soluble inorganic material and a surface-active agent; sandwiching both sides of a single sheet glass on which the film is formed or of a laminated structure of plural sheet glasses with a densified sheet with a high flatness to pressure the single glass or laminated structure; and heating and annealing the single sheet glass or laminated structure to flatten the same. The end side of the flatten glass substrate is treated with a treating solution containing a hydrofluosilicic acid. The glass substrate is formed by chemically strengthen a glass substrate by immersing the glass substrate in a chemical reinforcement solution heated and then ion exchanging ions on the surface-layer of the glass substrate with ions in the chemical reinforcement solution; pulling up the substrate from the chemical reinforcement solution and then annealing it to a temperature higher than the crystallization temperature of a molten salt; annealing the glass substrate at a rate at which the crystallization of the molten salt is deposited on the surface of the glass substrate; and then cleaning the surface of the glass substrate. Moreover, the glass substrate is formed by chemically strengthen a glass substrate by immersing the glass substrate in a chemical reinforcement solution heated and then ion exchanging ions on the surface layer of the glass substrate with ions in the chemical reinforcement solution; and pulling up the substrate from the chemical reinforcement solution and then cleaning the surface of the glass substrate with a cleaning agent containing acid.

摘要： A process for calculating estimated vehicle speeds on the basis of wheel speeds of the vehicle wheels and a value resulting from addition of an offset value corresponding to an output error including a dispersion component and a slope component of an output from a longitudinal acceleration/deceleration sensor to a detection value detected by the longitudinal acceleration/deceleration sensor. In a condition in which it is determined that a vehicle is traveling at a substantially constant speed for a relatively long period of time, a first correction amount is calculated from an average value of variations in wheel speeds and an average value of outputs from the longitudinal acceleration/deceleration sensor during the long period of time. In a condition in which it is determined that the vehicle is traveling at a substantially constant speed for a relatively short period of time, a second correction amount is calculated from the average value of variations in wheel speeds and the average values of outputs from the longitudinal acceleration/deceleration sensor during the short period of time. An amount of correction of the zero point of the longitudinal acceleration/deceleration sensor is determined by the first correction amount, and the correction of the offset value is determined by the second correction amount.

The grease according to the present invention can be applied effectively to a copper slide contact under both low temperature (ca.- 40.degree. C.) and high temperature (ca. 160.degree. 摘要： A hydraulic pressure control system has a hydraulic pressure control valve which includes a spool slidably received in a housing for axial sliding movement between a rear position in which it permits the communication between an output port and a release port and a front position in which it permits communication between an input port and the output port. The hydraulic pressure control system also has a reaction chamber connected to the output port for providing a hydraulic pressure for biasing the spool rearwardly, and an input pressure working chamber for providing a hydraulic pressure for biasing the spool forwardly, a differential pressure regulating valve is interposed between the output port and the reaction chamber and adapted to be opened in response to the hydraulic pressure from the output port becoming higher than the hydraulic pressure in the reaction chamber by a predetermined value therefor. At an initial stage of the beginning of application of the hydraulic pressure to the input pressure working chamber, the application of the hydraulic pressure to the reaction chamber is cut off, so that the output hydraulic pressure from the output port can be rapidly increased with the spool kept located in the front position to provide a smooth initial operation of the hydraulically operated device connected to the output port.

摘要： An image forming apparatus is provided in which, during a continuous sheet passing, in the case where a between-sheets time is short, none of a cleaning mode and a drive OFF mode is performed; in the case where the between-sheets time is of a medium length of time, the cleaning mode is performed but the drive OFF mode is not performed; and in the case where the between-sheets time is long, both the cleaning mode and the drive OFF mode are performed. As a result, degradation of an image bearer due to the cleaning bias is alleviated, decreased productivity due to the cleaning mode is alleviated, a problem is alleviated in which a back surface of a recording medium gets dirty due to toner adhered to a transfer rotation body, and another problem is alleviated in which the service life of a driven member is shortened.
