    • A developer supplying container of cylindrical shape which is connectable in a direction of its rotational axis. The container having a developer sending aperture on a base, a developer receiving aperture on the opposite base, and a connecting member to detachably connect the container to a second container having the same construction as the former container. The developer accommodated in the former container is transported to the second container through the developer sending aperture of the former container and a developer receiving aperture of the second container, and supplied to the developing device with the developer accommodated in the second container. When the developer accommodated in the former container is exhausted, only the former container should be replaced.

    • A hub clutch for locking or unlocking a wheel drive shaft to or form a hub clutch housing, comprises: a drive gear fixed to the wheel drive shaft; a slide gear slidably engaged or disengaged with or from the drive gear to lock or unlock the wheel drive shaft to or form the hub clutch housing; an elastic member for urging the slide gear into engagement or disengagement with or from the slide gear; a pressure source for supplying pressure into a pressure chamber formed between the wheel drive shaft and the hub clutch housing to shift the slide gear against an elastic force of the elastic member; and in particular a pressure supplementing switch for supplementing pressure supplied from the pressure source into the pressure chamber, whenever pressure within the pressure chamber drops below a predetermined value. Since the slide gear shifting pressure can be always maintained at a constant value irrespective of pressure leakage through the sealing members, the hub clutch reliability can be improved and the lifetime of the sealing members can be increased.

    • An image pickup device is provided which includes: an auto focus control unit sampling contrast values as a function of a relative distance from an object by detecting a contrast of an image of the object while driving a lens in an optical axis direction, calculating a focused focal position on the basis of the contrast values, and driving the lens to the focused focal position; a shake detecting unit detecting at least an amount of shake in the optical axis direction of the lens; and a selection judging unit judging selection and non-selection of the sampled contrast values depending on the amount of shake in the optical axis direction of the lens at the time of the sampling. Here, the auto focus control unit calculates the focused focal position on the basis of the contrast value judged as being selected by the selection judging unit among the sampled contrast values.

    • A fuel tank comprises an upper-half tank body (7) and a lower-half tank body (8) which are made of bowl-shaped steel plates and which integrally include a flange (7f) and a flange (8f) in their peripheral edges, respectively, the flanges (7f, 8f) being superposed on and liquid-tightly connected to each other. The flanges (7f, 8f) are connected together by crimping into a roll shape to form an annular thick-walled connection (12), and an annular reinforcing rib (7r, 8r) leading to the connection (12) is formed at least in one of the upper-half and lower-half tank bodies (7, 8). Thus, it is possible to provide a fuel tank in which a sufficient strength can be imparted to portions around a flange connection, without particularly increasing the thickness of a steel plate.
