    • An internal combustion engine comprises a supercharger for supplying charge air and a charge air cooler, which is arranged near the front end of the engine and is adapted to be supplied with charge air. The charge air line extends through the charge air cooler to the air receiver and is connected by a directional valve to a branch line, which bypasses the charge air cooler.     • The invention relates to a method and system for assembling an electricity generating unit consisting of a generator and a reciprocating engine as the drive, in particular for centring an internal stator that is positioned inside an external rotor with an air gap. Said method comprises the following steps: mounting the external rotor onto the drive motor and connecting the rotor to the drive system of said motor; inserting at least two centring bolts, which are offset in the peripheral direction, into centring grooves that are provided in the rotor/stator for partially receiving, (when viewed from a radial direction), said centring bolts that bridge the air gap; centring the stator in the rotor by inserting said stator along the centring bolts inside the rotor; fixing the stator to the generator housing and fixing said generator housing to a connection housing of the drive motor, removing the centring bolts from the air gap.

    • A system for purifying the exhaust gases of a diesel engine comprises an exhaust gas line, which is branched to form two branch lines, which are adapted to be shut off in alternation by change-over valve means. One of said branch lines constitutes a filter line, which incorporates a soot filter. The other branch line constitutes a by-pass line. Downstream of the soot filter the filter line joins the by-pass line to form a common end line. In dependence on the load on the engine, the filter line is opened by the change-over valve means only during an operation of the engine under a full load or under a partial load in excess of a predetermined value. In order to ensure that the exhaust gas will almost entirely be purified during an operation of the engine throughout its load range, an diesel soot oxidation-inducing catalyst is provided downstream of the change-over valve means and is incorporated in the by-pass line or in the common end line.

    • The fragmentation jacket of a projectile or shell should be prefragmentized in the simplest possible manner by means of reference fracture locations provided at the inner side or interior surface of the fragmentation jacket.
