    • A self-expiring badge or label that includes an upper substrate having an upper surface and a lower surface and an adhesive activator layer on the lower surface. A protective layer having a first surface and a second surface is provided, with the first surface of the protective layer being removably attached to and overlaying the adhesive layer. A lower substrate is provided that has an upper surface and a lower surface, the upper surface being removably attached to and overlaying the second surface of the protective layer. A migrating ink pattern is on the lower surface of the lower substrate. To activate, the upper substrate and at least a portion of the lower substrate are removed from the protective layer to leave a remaining portion of the lower substrate having the migrating ink pattern thereon. The migrating ink pattern is then contacted with the exposed adhesive activator layer to activate the migrating ink pattern to migrate through the adhesive activator layer and upper substrate in a selected time interval for viewing from the upper surface of the upper support layer to indicate an expired badge or label. Preferably the migrating ink pattern is contacted with the adhesive layer by folding it onto the adhesive layer. Optionally, to activate the badge both substrates are completely removed from the protective layer and the migrating ink pattern is contacted with the adhesive layer.

    • A threaded fastener has opposite hand threads provided thereon for securing two components together, such as a companion flange and a flange yoke assembly that is used in a vehicular drive train system. The companion flange includes a hollow cylindrical sleeve portion and a disc-shaped flange portion having an aperture formed therethrough. The flange yoke includes a disc-shaped flange portion and a yoke portion having an aperture formed therethrough. The flange yoke aperture is aligned with the companion flange aperture. A threaded fastener extends through the companion flange aperture and the flange yoke aperture. The threaded fastener includes a first threaded portion having a first hand that is disposed within the companion flange aperture. The threaded fastener further includes a second threaded portion having a second hand that is disposed within the flange yoke aperture. The first hand is opposite to said second hand such that when a nut is screwed onto the threaded fastener to secure the companion flange and flange yoke together, the threaded fastener is effectively prevented from rotating.

    • A locking device having a cylindrical plunger and a cylindrical sleeve for releasably and rotatably receiving the plunger, the sleeve having an open top portion, and a bottom portion. A keyway is provided axially disposed along the length of one of the plunger or sleeve, and a lip circumferentially disposed around the same plunger or sleeve. A key is also provided on the other of the plunger or sleeve, the key slidably mating with the keyway. A spring member is disposed within the sleeve and is compressed when the plunger is inserted into the sleeve biasing the plunger out of the sleeve. To lock the device the plunger is inserted into the sleeve, the key sliding along the keyway through the lip, the plunger compressing the spring member, and then the sleeve and plunger are rotated with respect to each other and released, the spring biasing the plunger out of the sleeve and locking the key onto a surface of the lip. To unlock the device the sleeve and plunger are pressed together, the plunger compressing the spring member, and rotated with respect to each other until the key and keyway are aligned with each other, the spring biasing the plunger out of the sleeve. The plunger is then removed from the sleeve, the key sliding along the keyway through the lip.

    • A tab-clip identification badge for attachment to the clothing of a person. The badge includes a badge substrate having a front surface and a back surface. A tab is provided having an inner surface and an outer surface and an upper portion and a lower portion hingedly attached to the upper portion. The inner surface of the upper portion of the tab is fixedly mounted to the back surface of the badge substrate. When the badge is not in use, the lower portion of the tab covers a portion of the back surface of the badge substrate. When the badge is ready for use the lower portion of the tab can be lifted from the back surface of the badge. An adhesive coating is on the inner surface of the lower portion of the tab. When the badge is not in use the adhesive coating on the lower portion of the tab functions to adhesively and removably mount the lower portion of the tab to the portion of the back surface. When the badge is in use the adhesive coating on the lower portion of the tab functions to adhesively and removably mount the lower portion of the tab to a portion of the persons clothing, whereby the back surface of the badge is juxtaposed against the clothing and the front surface is capable of being viewed by an observer. Preferably, the badge is a time dependent badge wherein after activation and a predetermined period of time has passed a portion of the front of the badge changes color.
