摘要： A low modulus, one component, room temperature vulcanizable silicone elastomer which has very good oil resistance properties as well as high elongation. The silicone elastomer which has low volatility comprises a silanol terminated diorganosiloxane base polymer, a trimethylsilyl terminated diorganopolysiloxane, generally a tin catalyst, as well as a oxime crosslinking agent and specific low moisture fillers, usually calcium carbonate. The material is ideally suited as a gasket sealant as well as a formed-in-place gasket and can be utilized on internal combustion engines such as automotive engines as a sealant for an oil pan, valve cover, side seals and the like.

摘要： A vibration attenuator seat includes a seat assembly with a pair of paralleled shafts slidable in horizontally positioned, ultra low friction, linear bearings mounted in a base assembly. A seat adjustment assembly has a bottom part which is a part of the base assembly and a latch in its top part for engaging the bottom part to lock the top and bottom parts in a plurality of positions. A pin secured to the top part of the assembly centers the seat assembly relative to the top part by being connected by one preloaded, closed-coil spring to one end of the seat assembly and by a second preloaded, closed-coil spring to the other end. The body of a shock absorber positioned parallel to the shafts is secured to the pin and the rod is secured to the seat assembly. The latch allows positioning adjustment of the seat assembly relative to the base assembly and the shock absorber attenuates shocks and vibrations between the base and seat assemblies while the springs provide preloaded biasing towards the adjusted position.

摘要： Assembly of the combustor dome in a gas turbine engine is facilitated by providing a self-fixturing configuration. The combustor dome assembly is made up of a dome plate having a plurality of swirler assemblies mounted therein. Each swirler assembly is provided with a locating pin that extends between the dome plate and the swirler assembly for positioning the swirler assembly with respect to the dome plate without the use of fixturing tools. Preferably, the swirler assembly includes a swirl cup and an outlet sleeve mounted in the dome plate. The locating pin is pressed into a hole formed in the swirl cup. One end of the pin is received in a slot formed in the dome plate, and the other end of the pin is received in a slot formed in the outlet sleeve. Thus, the locating pin sets the circumferential orientation of the swirler assembly in relation to the dome plate. A shoulder on the swirl cup sets the cup axially with respect to the dome plate, and a shoulder on the outlet sleeve sets the sleeve axially with respect to the swirl cup.

The combustor liner is made up of a shell having first and second groups of cooling holes formed therein. The cooling holes of the second group are more closely spaced than the cooling holes of the first group. The second group of cooling holes is located on an area of the shell where the cooling film effectiveness is degraded. Preferred locations include a region of the shell that is subjected to swirl impingement and a spot immediately downstream of a large opening in the shell such as a dilution hole, a borescope hole or an igniter port hole.
