    • A transparent resin composition comprising (1) 6 to 100% by weight of a nitrile graft copolymer comprising a rubber trunk polymer and a branch polymer grafted thereon, which has been obtained by graft-polymerizing onto the rubber trunk polymer a monomer mixture containing an unsaturated nitrile and a monomer copolymerizable therewith, and (2) 0 to 94% by weight of a random copolymer of an unsaturated nitrile and a monomer copolymerizable therewith, the resin components of the resin composition other than the rubber trunk polymer constituting a matrix resin, wherein(a) said rubber trunk polymer has a glass transition temperature of not higher than 0.degree. C. and constitutes 4 to 25% by weight of the resin composition,(b) the unsaturated nitrile constitutes 25 to 90% by weight of the matrix resin in the resin composition,(c) the difference in the refractive indexes between the rubber trunk polymer and the matrix resin is not more than 0.008, and(d) the resin composition, when molded into a 3 mm-thick plate, has a transmittance in diethyl phthalate of not lower than 95% with respect to the laser rays used.The above described resin composition has excellent transparency and molding fidelity and can be used for molding information signal recording discs, information pits being engraved on one side of each disc, and a metal coating being deposited thereon, the information signals recorded on the information pits being reproducible by irradiation with laser rays from the other side of said disc.

    • A process for producing a graft polymer possessing a low gas-permeability and an excellent impact resistance and thermal stability which comprises the steps of:First graft-polymerizing in emulsion 5 to 40 parts by weight of (A) a monomeric mixture comprising 30 to 70% by weight of acrylonitrile and 30 to 70% by weight of at least one acrylic ester having the following formula:CH.sub.2 .dbd.CHCOOR.sub.1 wherein R.sub.1 represents an alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, in the presence of 2 to 30 parts by weight of (B) a trunk copolymer prepared by copolymerizing 50 to 90% by weight of 1,3-butadiene, 10 to 50% by weight of at least one acrylic or methacrylic ester having the following formula:CH.sub.2 .dbd.CR.sub.3 COOR.sub.2 wherein R.sub.2 represents an alkyl group having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms and R.sub.3 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and 0 to 15% by weight of styrene to form a first branch polymer; and thenGraft-polymerizing in emulsion 40 to 90 parts by weight of (C) a monomeric mixture comprising 50 to 85% by weight of acrylonitrile and 15 to 50% by weight of at least one acrylic ester having the following formula:CH.sub.2 .dbd.CHCOOR.sub.4 wherein R.sub.4 represents an alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, in the presence of 10 to 60 parts by weight of the first branch polymer prepared in the preceding step, to form a second branch polymer and wherein2.0.ltoreq..delta.P.sub.2 -.delta.P.sub.1 .ltoreq.2.70.4.ltoreq..delta.p.sub.3 -.delta.p.sub.2 .ltoreq.0.8 wherein .delta.P.sub.1, .delta.P.sub.2 and .delta.P.sub.3 are solubility parameters of the trunk polymer, the first branch polymer and the second branch polymer, respectively, expressed in terms of (cal/cc).sup.1/2.

    • A wavefront aberration compensating apparatus includes: a deformable mirror which compensates a wavefront aberration of a light flux entered, the deformable mirror including a plurality of electrodes, and a thin-film mirror which changes a configuration thereof in accordance with a voltage value applied to each of the electrodes; an optical system provided with the deformable mirror, and including an object subjected to aberration compensation; a wavefront sensor which receives the light flux traveled through the object and the deformable mirror, and which measures the wavefront aberration of the light flux; and a controller configured to calculate the voltage value applied to each of the electrodes, on the basis of differences, from a signal outputted from the wavefront sensor, between application points on the thin-film mirror and target points both corresponding to the electrodes, respectively, and to repeat compensation of the configuration of the thin-film mirror of the deformable mirror on the basis of the calculated voltage value, such that the wavefront aberration of the light flux measured by the wavefront sensor is suppressed.
