摘要： A ready-for-use surgical kit and a facilitated protocol for the implantation of acetabular prosthesis in hip replacement surgery have been introduced. In particularly, a ready-for-use package includes both a set of the artificial acetabular prosthesis and a set of specific reamer(s) with a predefined spherical cutting profile. According to a protocol, surgeon could accurately select a package including both a size of acetabular prosthesis and a corresponding finishing reamer according to a pre-measurement and bone condition of a respective patient, and then patient-specifically remedy a defected acetabulum into a full hemispherical form having a personalized dimension by the reamer(s) within the package during operation.

摘要： Various embodiments provide an ability to automatically boot a computing device with an operating system stored on a portable storage device when the portable storage device is detected to be present. The computing device can be configured to dynamically boot from the portable storage device when the portable storage device is detected, and revert to a programmed boot order in its associated boot module when the portable storage device is not detected. In some embodiments, the operating system is fully encapsulated on the portable storage device, such as the operating system being completely separate from an operating system initially booting the computing device.

摘要： The present invention is a hybrid cell that utilizes a PBS pair in conjunction with a wedge tuner and a crystal to achieve a more stable interleaver. A first PBS splits an incoming optical signal into two orthogonally polarized beams which follow different optical paths through the cell. The length of the wedge tuner and crystal are selected such that the periodicity of the cell is approximately inversely proportional to the free spectral range at a target frequency. The length of the wedge tuner and crystal are also selected such that there is no change in an optical path difference between the two optical paths with respect to a change in temperature over an operating temperature range.

摘要： An apparatus for optically circulating light beams between ports is disclosed, with a first port positioned at a proximal end of the apparatus, a second port positioned at a distal end of the apparatus, and a third port positioned at the proximal end of the apparatus. The first port is capable of transmitting a first light beam and the second port is capable of transmitting a second light beam. The apparatus includes a first beam bender. The first beam bender has opposing first and second faces. The first face and the second face are at an angle to one another. The first face and the second face intersect a longitudinal axis extending from the proximal to the distal end of the optical circulator. The beam bender is responsive to a polarization orientation of the first light beam to refract the first light beam toward the second port. The beam bender is further responsive to a polarization orientation of the second light beam to refract the second light beam toward the third port. The apparatus may additionally comprise end portions and imaging elements. The first and second end portions are positioned at either end of the apparatus to impart a propagation direction dependent polarization to the first light beam and the second light beam. The first imaging element and the second imaging element are positioned between the first and second end portions. The first imaging element bends the first light beam to a focal point between the first and the second imaging element. The second imaging element bends the second light beam to the focal point. The first beam bender is positioned proximate the focal point and is responsive to a polarization orientation of the first light beam to refract the first light beam toward the second port, and is further responsive to a polarization orientation of the second light beam to refract the second light beam toward the third port.
