    • A toy bow assembly used to launch toy projectiles. The toy bow assembly has a rigid bow structure. The bow structure has a first arm section, a second arm section, and a central region. Two separate and distinct elastic elements are provided to launch a projectile. The first elastic element is anchored to the first arm section of the bow structure. A second elastic element is anchored to the second arm section. Both of the elastic elements terminate with loop structures that extend into the central region between the first and second arm sections. A toy projectile is provided that has extending hooks. The hooks on the projectile engage the loop structures of the elastic elements. When the projectile is drawn back, the elastic elements stretch and provide the spring energy needed to launch the projectile into flight when it is released.

A first elastomeric element extends laterally from the first arm. Likewise, a second elastomeric element extends laterally from the second arm section. A safely projectile is provided. The safety projectile has a first slotted channel that is accessible through a first open end and a second slotted channel that is accessible through a second open end. The safety projectile temporarily attaches to the first elastomeric element and the second elastomeric element during launching by having the first slotted channel receive the first free end of the first elastomeric element and having the second slotted channel receive the second free end of the second elastomeric element. The safety projectile is then pulled back and released.

    • A flying toy assembly having a secondary body suspended from a boomerang rotor configuration. The rotor configuration includes a plurality of rotor blades that radially extend from a common hub area. The central hub area has a top surface, a bottom surface, and a predetermined thickness between the top surface and the bottom surface. An annular grommet extends through the central hub area. The grommet defines a hole having a length generally equal to the thickness of the central hub area. A secondary body is attached to the grommet. A shaft extends from the secondary body. The shaft extends through the hole in the grommet, thereby joining the secondary body to the rotor configuration. Stops are provided on the shaft. The stops are disposed a predetermined distance apart along the shaft. The predetermined distance is at least twice as long as the length of the hole in the grommet.

    • A pop action toy ball assembly. The pop action toy ball assembly has a lower hemispherical section and a separate upper hemispherical section. The two hemispherical sections are joined together by a connection element. The connection element has one end that is anchored to the apex of the lower hemispherical section. The connection element extends upwardly through the apex of the upper hemispherical section without being affixed to the upper hemispherical section. The lower hemispherical section is selectively positionable between a normal orientation, where a first surface faces outwardly, and an inverted orientation, where a second surface faces outwardly. If the toy ball assembly is impacted while the lower hemispherical section is inverted, the toy assembly pops from its inverted orientation back into its normal orientation.

    • A toy system for launching a soft dart projectile. The dart projectile has a flexible shaft. A pneumatic launcher is used to launch the dart projectile. The pneumatic launcher contains an air pulse generating system that displaces air through a flexible barrel. The flexible barrel defines an internal conduit that extends between a first end and a second end. The second end of the flexible barrel is sized to receive the shaft of the dart projectile. The flexible barrel is fabricated from a flexible closed-cell foam that enables said flexible barrel to bend at least ninety degrees without blocking airflow through its internal conduit. As a result, the toy pneumatic launcher can be directed in a first direction, while the barrel is bent to fire in a second direction. The flexible barrel has features that prevent the dart projectile from binding in the barrel when the barrel is bent.
