    • Methods of measuring a mean-to-target (MTT) based on pattern area measurements are provided including providing a design pattern. A plurality of design pattern measurements are measured for calculating an area of the design pattern based on a shape of the design pattern. A series of calculation measurements are calculated by continuously substituting a same variation into the design pattern measurements, and calculating a series of calculation areas corresponding respectively to the calculation measurements to generate a database including the calculation measurements and the calculation areas. An actual pattern is formed using the design pattern and an area of the actual pattern is measured. A calculation area corresponding to the area of the actual pattern is selected from the database and calculation measurements corresponding to the calculation area are selected. A difference between the design pattern measurements and the calculation measurements is calculated and the difference is set as an MTT. Related methods of correcting a photomask are also provided herein.

    • A wireless communication system includes a heterogeneous wireless station for transmitting and receiving a heterogeneous wireless station signal; and a detection and avoidance device for detecting the heterogeneous wireless station signal, and for transmitting and receiving an ultra-wideband signal, the ultra-wideband signal with a reduced output or the ultra-wideband signal shifted to another ultra-wideband or ultra-wideband group in order to prevent interference with the heterogeneous wireless station based on a predetermined level. Further, a communication method includes receiving a heterogeneous wireless station signal; converting the heterogeneous wireless station signal into tone-nulling elements based on a predetermined level; receiving the tone-nulling elements, and generating an ultra-wideband signal or reducing an output of the ultra-wideband signal; and changing a time frequency number of the ultra-wideband signal based on the values of the tone-nulling elements to selectively shift to another band of the band group or another band group.

    • A convertible computer is equipped with a notebook computer function and a tablet computer function. When a system power supply is turned on, a functionality or physical configuration such as rotation state of a display module can be detected, and an environment can be controlled such as an operating system (OS) for a tablet computer or notebook computer is selectively booted. Input signals of input units can also be controlled in an activation or inactivation state according to a system mode. An operation of switch sensing an open/closed state of a liquid crystal display (LCD) can be controlled by a signal generated by the rotation operation of the display module. In a state in which at least one control value necessary for setting a system environment is stored in a memory, the system mode switching operation is monitored and the system environment is set according to the switched system mode.

    • An apparatus for generating a time slot in a home network system using home PNA 2.0 protocol and a method thereof are provided. The apparatus for generating a time slot includes a signal analyzer which receives a carrier sense signal indicating whether or not data exists on a network line, generates a counter control signal according to the level of the carrier sense signal, outputs a state signal for indicating whether or not effective data is received, whether or not data collision occurs, or whether or not an error happens to the carrier sense signal and a time counting value for generating a time slot using counter values provided in response to the carrier sense signal, a counting unit which counts a clock signal in response to the counter control signal and outputs the result of the counting as the counter values with respect to the length of a first level of the carrier sense signal and the length of a second level of the carrier sense signal where the second level is complementary to the first level, and a time slot generator which has regulations related to the period of time of each section of a time slot, generates a time slot according to the state signal output from the signal analyzer using the time counting value to meet the regulations, and stops generation of the time slot in response to the state signal for indicating that an error happens to the carrier sense signal. Accordingly, it is possible to generate a reliable time slot by controlling generation of a time slot based on whether or not an error occurs to a carrier sense signal being currently received and taking the amount of time delayed inside a device including the apparatus for generating a time slot into consideration.
