摘要： A moisture-absorbing sheet including a hygroscopic molded article containing a resin component and a hygroscopic agent, wherein (1) calcium oxide-based particles having a specific surface area of 0.5 m2/g to 20 m2/g and an average particle diameter of 0.5 μm to 50 μm are included as the hygroscopic agent; (2) a fibrillated fluororesin is included as the resin component; and (3) the sheet has: (a) a weight increase ratio of 1% or less after being allowed to stand for 2 hours in an atmosphere at a temperature of 20° C. and a relative humidity of 65%; and (b) a weight increase ratio of 5% or more after being allowed to further stand for 36 hours after being allowed to stand for 36 hours in an atmosphere at a temperature of 20° C. and a relative humidity of 65%.

摘要： The present invention provides an apparatus for manufacturing activated carbon fiber, which enables continuous production with high productivity. This apparatus is configured in a U-shape and comprises the first vertical furnace, the second vertical furnace, and the connecting portion to connect both furnaces at the lower parts. This apparatus employs neither the air curtain method nor the water seal method that requires drying process to shut off air from the furnace. In this apparatus, raw materials are introduced from the inlet on the upper part of the first furnace. Then they are subjected to pyrolysis, carbonization, and activation as they pass through the first furnace, connecting portion and the second vertical furnace. Finally they are taken up from the outlet on the upper part of the second furnace to be an active carbon fiber product.

摘要： A nonwoven fabric, particularly composed by long-stock synthetic resin yarns such as polyethylene and polypropylene is provided at one or both surfaces thereof with an ink-setting layer formed by coating, drying and curing a resin composition containing some of acrylic resins, synthetic rubbers and polyester resins. The ink-setting layer is excellent in the transfer property and fixing ability to an oil ink which is ordinarily used for offset printing, and prevents the nonwoven fabric from being swelled or transformed by a petroleum high-boiling-point solvent contained in the oil ink. Preferably, a low-temperature cross-linking agent is incorporated with the resin composition of the ink-setting layer so as to complete cross-linking of the resin composition at a low temperature at which heat shrinkage or heat damage of the nonwoven fabric will not be caused, in a shortened period of time. Moreover, when 10 to 40% by weight of non-calcined clay, 1 to 15% by weight of titanium dioxide and 1 to 10% by weight of calcium carbonate or calcined clay are incorporated as fillers in the resin composition of the ink-setting layer, the ink-setting layer has improved absorbability, drying ability and fixing ability to a printing ink. A preferable construction of the nonwoven fabric has a first layer containing the low-temperature cross-linking agent and a second layer containing the specific filler ingredients.

摘要： An air-filtering material exchangeably attached to a home-use or automobile air filter comprises a water jet type nonwoven fabric at an air outlet side and another type nonwoven fabric or fiber assembly at an air inlet side. These nonwoven fabric sheets are laminated on one another by needle punching. The water jet type nonwoven fabric is made from crowded finer fiber staples, and bits formed therein by penetration of needles of a needle punching machine may be stopped up by centripetally moving fiber staples surrounding the bits.
