    • Deflection control signals are supplied to respective horizontal and vertical deflecting plates in a plural pickup-tube color television camera. A predetermined one pickup-tube is supplied with the horizontal and vertical deflecting signals that are generated by a suitable source. These signals also are supplied to a compensating voltage generator which is selectively operative to produce respective horizontal deflection compensating voltages for each of the remaining pick-up tubes and respective vertical deflection compensating voltages for such remaining tubes. A horizontal combining circuit is provided for each of the remaining tubes and a vertical combining circuit also is provided for each of these remaining tubes. Each combining circuit is supplied with a respective horizontal or vertical deflection signal from the source and also with a respective horizontal or vertical deflection compensating voltage generated by the compensating voltage generating circuit, and is operative to generate an adjusted horizontal or vertical deflection signal which is applied to the horizontal or vertical deflecting plates of its associated pickup-tube.

    • A color imaging apparatus having a plurality of image pickup tubes which pick up respective optical images of primary colors separated from one optical image includes a registration control circuit which operates to hold a picture of high quality at all times by controlling the registration of the images of the respective image pickup tubes on a real time basis during the operation of the camera. To this end a circuit detects those local image signals which satisfy predetermined requisites which are most favorable for use as reference signals to control the registration and these detected image signals are temporarily stored so as to be used for the registration operation. The most favorable requisites of the local image areas selected for registration control are (1) those having no movement, (2) those having a contour which is sharp and (3) those having a chroma which is low.

    • An integrated pickup component used to support and mount thereto image pickup tubes is mounted to a color separation optical system of a multi-tube type color television camera. The integrated pickup component comprises a plurality of primary assembly retaining cylinders each housing an image pickup tube and its peripheral parts which are to be fixed to the cylinder with an adhesive in a ready-to-use manner, and a mount holder integrally formed in itself for attaching thereto the primary assembly retaining cylinders of respective image pickup tubes. Before connecting and fixing this integrated pickup component to the color separation optical system of the color television camera, the component is attached to an adjusting arrangement having an optical system with identical functions to those of the color separation optical system for the camera. The relative positions between each of the primary assembly retaining cylinders and the mount holder are adjusted by monitoring with a picture monitor the correct registration of the color separated optical images with the electron beam scanning areas in respect of their focus points, the sizes, the rotational positions and the center positions through the use of the optical system of the adjusting arrangement. Relative positions thus adjusted are then fixed with an adhesive.
