    • An integrated pickup component used to support and mount thereto image pickup tubes is mounted to a color separation optical system of a multi-tube type color television camera. The integrated pickup component comprises a plurality of primary assembly retaining cylinders each housing an image pickup tube and its peripheral parts which are to be fixed to the cylinder with an adhesive in a ready-to-use manner, and a mount holder integrally formed in itself for attaching thereto the primary assembly retaining cylinders of respective image pickup tubes. Before connecting and fixing this integrated pickup component to the color separation optical system of the color television camera, the component is attached to an adjusting arrangement having an optical system with identical functions to those of the color separation optical system for the camera. The relative positions between each of the primary assembly retaining cylinders and the mount holder are adjusted by monitoring with a picture monitor the correct registration of the color separated optical images with the electron beam scanning areas in respect of their focus points, the sizes, the rotational positions and the center positions through the use of the optical system of the adjusting arrangement. Relative positions thus adjusted are then fixed with an adhesive.

    • It is an object of the present invention to provide a hollow fiber forward osmosis membrane, which can enhance forward osmotic pressure energy acquired by permeation, and thus improve power generation efficiency in the forward osmotic pressure power generation, when dilution water such as freshwater permeates into seawater through the osmosis membrane. The relationship between optimal conditions for an inner diameter d and a length L of the hollow fiber osmosis membrane to be used for forward osmotic pressure power generation whereby dilution water such as fresh water is caused to permeate into non-concentrate seawater through the hollow fiber osmosis membrane to increase a flow rate on the side of the seawater using forward osmotic pressure energy thus generated, and power is generated using the increased flow rate, is expressed as equation (1) in the range of d=50 to 200 μm, L=0.5 to 2 m and J=1.7×10−7 to 5.1×10−7 m/sec,[Equation 11] d L 0.75 + J 0.5 = 1.0 × 10 5 ∼ 1.2 × 10 5 wherein J means permeation flux rate.

    • A flexible rail comprises rail pieces arranged in line, laterally opposed side plates, and laterally opposed connecting plates. Each rail piece includes a generally I-shaped member and a shelter member which is fixed to a top of the I-shaped member. The opposed side plates are fixed to respective side walls of the shelter member. The side plate overlaps one side of the rail piece. The connecting plate is fixed to a rear one of adjacent side plates, and is connected to the front side plate for pivotal movement. Thus, the rail piece, the side plates fixed thereto, and the connecting plates fixed to the side plates, as one body, are capable of pivotal movement. The rail piece, the side plate, and the connecting plate each may include an upper tapered portion with opposed upper inclined end faces starting from longitudinally opposed ridges, respectively, and a lower tapered portion with opposed lower inclined end faces starting from the longitudinally opposed ridges, respectively, except that a foremost rail piece and a rearmost rail piece each have an inner upper inclined end face starting from an inner ridge and an inner lower inclined end face starting from the inner ridge and an outer straight end face, and a foremost side plate and a rearmost side plate each have an inner upper inclined end face starting from an inner ridge and an inner lower inclined end face starting from the inner ridge and an outer straight end face. All the ridges are located at the same level.

    • A relatively great number of materials such as forged or cast motor parts of relatively small sizes are loaded into a basket. The basket is suspended from a front conveyor, and is conveyed thereby to a position in front of a coating section comprising a plurality of tanks arranged in a required order and containing liquids required for the coating. After reaching the foregoing position, the basket is carried by, or suspended from, a basket carrier and is immersed in the liquids in the tanks in the order of arrangement thereof. The basket is swung in each tank several times. After being immersed in the liquids in all tanks, the basket is conveyed, by a rear conveyor, to a furnace for baking the materials coated. The basket is passed through the furnace, and then is suspended again from the front conveyor and conveyed thereby to a section where the basket is overturned to unload the materials coated and baked. Then, the basket, which is now empty, is conveyed to the initial position.
