    • In a camera according to the present invention, a parallax correction indicator for normal-size photography and a parallax correction indicator for panorama-size photography, which are formed on an image formation plane of a finder optical system, are separately displayed in a finder image display screen set in N photographing mode and in a finder image display screen set in P photographing mode. Therefore, using the camera or the present invention, the finder display will not be complicated but be easy to see during N size photography and panorama-size photography alike. This reduces occurrence of a photographic error.

    • A finder structure for a camera, in which the finder is divided into an objective block and an eyepiece block. The housings of these blocks are removably connected with each other, thereby allowing one of the housings to move with respect to the other housing in a direction transversely of the optical axis of the finder to correct parallax. The structure comprises in the finder, a field frame plate, panoramic field frame members defining panoramic field frames, and a field frame changeover lever which engages with the panoramic field frame members. A shaft of the field frame changeover lever is rotatably received in an opening formed in the housing of the finder to engage with a finder drive lever disposed outside the finder, allowing the finder drive lever to be linked to a photography mode changeover lever to slide the panoramic field frame members by operation of the photography mode changeover lever. The finder is incorporated in the camera body by mounting either one of the objective block or the eyepiece block on the camera body, and connecting the other block (not mounted on the camera body) to the block mounted to the body with locking screws or the like. Parallax is corrected by loosening the locking screws to move the block not mounted on the camera body relative to the block mounted on the camera body.

    • A finder parallax correction lens capable of giving a visual indication, a supplementary lens and a glass protector for the main taking lens are aligned in a planar arrangement and movably built in the camera. When the supplementary lens for photographing subjects at near or close distances is placed in front of the main taking lens with its optical axis in alignment with that of the taking lens, the correction lens is set in position for the finder optical system, visually indicating that it is so positioned, with the glass protector brought to its retracted position. A lock mechanism is further provided which permits the shutter to be tripped only when the lenses and glass protector are set in correct photographing positions respectively and which otherwise locks the shutter against tripping.

    • A main electronic imaging device takes in as a taken-image an image of a subject obtained through an imaging lens. An electronic finder device photoelectrically first generates the image of the subject and generates an image signal. Based on the generated image signal, the electronic finder device places the imaging range PA substantially at the center, generates an image of finder range FA that is one size larger than the imaging range PA, and provides the image of finder range FA that is generated with an imaging frame 47a that expresses the outer border of the imaging range so as to obtain the image as a finder image, and controls so that the finder image is displayed on a display 47. As a result, the imaging range PA is smaller than the finder range FA but is smaller by only one size. The ratio occupied by the imaging range PA within the finder range FA is accordingly sufficiently large, and the imaging range PA can be recognized easily and without fail.
