摘要： A machine for cutting cloths and for applying borders thereto, particularly for manufacturing mattresses starting from at least one component sheet which is wound in a roll, which comprises a framework, means for moving the cloth in an advancement direction and along a horizontal plane of arrangement, two sewing machines which are arranged upstream of the movement means and are adapted to form longitudinal stitch lines along the lateral edges of the cloth, a cloth finishing assembly which is arranged downstream of the movement means and comprises a sewing machine which is adapted to produce at least two parallel stitch lines which lie transversely to the advancement direction of the cloth, and a cutting element which is adapted to produce an intermediate separation cut between the two stitch lines, so as to separate the portion of cloth that lies downstream of the assembly from the one that lies upstream thereof, the sewing machines of the pair being each provided with a support for a roll of a strip of fabric which is guided and stitched along the respective longitudinal edge of the cloth, the finishing assembly comprising a carriage which is slideable on guides which lie transversely to the cloth advancement direction and a sewing machine of the type with at least two needles, which is mounted on the carriage and is provided with a support for a roll of a band of fabric which is guided so as to adhere transversely to the cloth, the sewing machine being adapted to join the band to the cloth along at least two transverse stitch lines, means for actuating the carriage on the guides between two stroke limit positions arranged laterally to the cloth, and means for cutting the band and the cloth transversely between the two stitch lines.

摘要： The invention relates to a chain stitch multi-needle quilting machine with stitch forming quilting elements and a method for creating a pattern in a quilting material. The elements of the quilting machine are comprised of at least one needle bar with attached needles and at least one looper shaft with attached loopers. Each of the needles and the loopers have a corresponding needle thread and looper thread associated therewith, form quilting element pairs, and are driven to build chain stitches in a quilting material. At least one of the needles is adjustable between two positions and participates in the quilting procedure in a first position and does not prick into the quilting material in the second position during the quilting procedure. The quilting machine can be made to have a device to knot the needle thread with the looper thread, or a device to cut the looper thread, or both.

The upper conveyor is resiliently vertically movable and applies a compression force against the soft goods as they are moved between the upper and lower conveyors and past the slitting wheels.

The clamp top portion has a handle extending away therefrom to aid in both opening the quilting clamp and gripping the quilting clamp by the user. With the clamp bottom portion supported from underneath, pressing on the handle urges the clamp top portion towards the open position. A cushion material, such as felt, is disposed on all or part of the bottom side of the bottom portion. The quilting clamp is null2 inches wide, but not more than about 4 inches.

摘要： A clamping system for a sewing machine used to sew first and second materials together. The clamping system has a plurality of clamps mounted adjacent an opening in a frame. Each of the clamps has a stationary member, a movable member and an actuator. The actuator is connected to the movable member and operates to move the movable member in a clamping relationship with the stationary member to clamp the first material in the clamp. The clamp is powered by a cylinder with a linear stroke, and the clamp has a driving member that transfers the linear motion of the cylinder into a pivoting motion of the movable member. Further, the movable and fixed members have forward ends shaped so that they hold the first material but do not interfere with a sewing of the first member to the second member.
