摘要： A stand includes a horizontal beam supported at two opposite ends by two respective footed legs. The legs and beam are sized to straddle a chair or bed while a human user is sitting in the chair or bed. A top surface of the beam is at a vertical level such that the user may comfortably quilt with a quilting hoop supported by the top surface of the beam. Two lateral supports are attached to the beam in spaced apart relationship and extend above the top surface of the beam. The supports are spaced apart by a distance less than a width of a quilting hoop such that the quilting hoop may be partially inserted between and abut against the supports while being supported by the beam. The supports limit movement of the hoop in lateral directions and in a direction away from the user while the hoop is being supported by the beam.

摘要： A portable, hand-operated quilting clamp capable of holding multiple layers of quilting material firmly together while being easily grasped by the user. A manually openable clamp body comprises top and bottom portions hingedly connected together and moveable between a clamping position and an open position and defining a fabric receiving gap. At least one spring is connected to the clamp body and biases the clamp closed. The clamp top portion has a handle extending away therefrom to aid in both opening the quilting clamp and gripping the quilting clamp by the user. With the clamp bottom portion supported from underneath, pressing on the handle urges the clamp top portion towards the open position. A cushion material, such as felt, is disposed on all or part of the bottom side of the bottom portion. The quilting clamp is null2 inches wide, but not more than about 4 inches.

摘要： The invention provides a mechanical hooping press for framing sections of fabric for embroidery machines. The press includes one or more cylindrical assemblies. The preferred embodiment provides at least two pneumatically-operated cylindrical assemblies being operable either in tandem or independently. The device provides a base having a recess, and with a cylindrical assembly positioned directly above the recess. A first ring of an embroidery hoop is placed in the recess and a fabric section is placed upon the first ring. The cylindrical assembly is provided with a hoop disk for detachably retaining the second ring of the embroidery hoop. The second ring is attached to the hoop disk and the hoop disk is then driven toward the recess, eventually driving the second ring into engagement with the first ring, and capturing the fabric section therebetween. The invention also provides a nested hoop disk, and an embroidery hoop especially adapted for use with the mechanical hooper.

摘要： An embroidery hoop press and method of operation permit the user to frame large areas of thick fabric between inner and outer embroidery hoops by the use of relatively little pressure. The mechanical press includes an upper platen for retaining the inner fabric hoop which is movable in an arcuate path downwardly to allow the hoops to initially contact an angle of approximately 10.degree.. With continued downward force the press gradually causes the inner and outer fabric hoops to fully engage as the lower platen simultaneously pivots. A dampener attached to the upper platen allows the operator to quickly release the handle without injury or vibration.
