In a pageable mode virtual environment, requests issued by pageable storage mode guests are processed by one or more processors of the environment absent intervention from one or more hosts of the environment. Processing of the requests includes manipulating, by at least one processor on behalf of the guests, buffer state information stored in host storage. The manipulating is performed via instructions initiated by the guests and processed by one or more of the processors.

A personalized record is made by duplicating the selected portions from the event record. 摘要： An accessory device, such as a mobile telematics unit, captures tags for user desired media content items from a content broadcast, such as a digital radio broadcast or television broadcast. Each tag provides one or more parameters for identification of a song or other audio selection. The accessory device sends each tag over a mobile communications network air interface, with an identifier of an account of a mobile communications network subscriber. A server receives such tag transmissions and compiles a list of one or more tags directly from the accessory device, for the subscriber on the identified mobile service account. In some situations, the server generates a playlist from the stored list of tags and communicates at least a portion of the playlist to a personal media device, upon access by the personal media device to the subscriber's account.

摘要： A switched digital video (SDV) system is provided which includes a SDV manager for coordinating SDV sessions requested by a plurality of subscriber terminals associated with a service group. The system also includes an input for receiving SDV programming to be broadcast during the SDV sessions. At least one edge device is provided for receiving SDV programming provided by the input and for transmitting each SDV program over an access network to at least one of the subscriber terminals on one of a plurality of SDV channels. The SDV manager is configured to (i) cause transmission of at least a first requested SDV program to be delayed until a later time; and (ii) select the first requested SDV program to be delayed from among a plurality of requested SDV programs based at least in part on a current viewing and recording status of the plurality of subscriber terminals.

摘要： A method and system for ordering content includes a first device having an ordering interactive interface having available content. The first device forms a content selection corresponding to the available content from the ordering interactive interface and communicates the content selection to a content processing system. The content processing system generates an unencrypted control word comprising instructions for locating the available content from a user device and communicates the unencrypted control word to the user device. The user device receives the unencrypted control word to enable storing the available content corresponding to the content selection in response to the instructions contained in the unencrypted control word and stores the available content in a storage device of the user device.
