摘要： This invention discloses systems and methods for conversion of high moisture waste materials to dry or low moisture products for recycle or reuse. The equipment systems comprise a gas turbine generator unit (preferred heat source), a dryer vessel and a processing unit, wherein the connection between the gas turbine and the dryer vessel directs substantially all the gas turbine exhaust into the dryer vessel and substantially precludes the introduction of air into the dryer vessel and wherein the processing unit forms the dried material from the dryer vessel into granules, pellets or other desired form for the final product. Optionally, the systems and methods further provide for processing ventilation air from manufacturing facilities to reduce emissions therefrom.

The material to be dried is flowed through the regions while a fluid, preferably ambient air, is counterflowed to the material through the lower and then upper regions, but not the intermediate region, such that the fluid cools and dries the material in the lower region and preheats the material in the upper region. The material is further heated by a makeup heater in the intermediate region to a preselected temperature.

The dryer vessel receives the manure for contact with the turbine exhaust gases to convert the manure to a dry material, which is passed to the processing unit where it is formed into granules, pellets or other desired form for the final dry fertilizer product. The method comprises drying, heating and converting the manure to form novel self binding fertilizer and soil builder type products for organic farming and other uses.

摘要： A portable grain bin comprises a wheeled frame in which the wheels are movable relative to the frame to sit the frame on the ground and thereby transfer the load of material in the bin to the ground. The bin is grossly asymmetric with a bottom discharge much closer to one end than to other. The bottom wall nearest the bottom discharge is very steep. The bottom wall opposite the bottom discharge is relatively shallow but still exceeds a normal angle of repose of grain placed in the bin. The bottom discharge includes an opening spanned by a series of stationary slats and a movable member comprising a frame having a series of complementary slats which selectively align with or are offset from the stationary slats. The grain bin is used with a batch type grain dryer to provide surge capacity in a harvesting operation.

摘要： A drying attachment for use with a combine (10) for harvesting grain is disclosed and claimed. The attachment includes a distributor receptacle (18) in which the shelled corn or other grain is received after being separated from cobs, husks, and other residue material. After being received in the receptacle (18), it is transferred through a plurality of drying tubes (20) to a storage bin (19). The residue material is burned in a furnace (22) which is carried by the combine (10). The heat thereby generated is conducted to the drying tubes (20) wherein moisture is absorbed from the grain passing through the tubes (20).
