摘要： A rotary compressor includes a compressing unit including: an annular cylinder; an end plate having a bearing unit, and closing an end portion of the cylinder; an annular piston fitted in a rotation shaft in the bearing unit, performing an orbital motion inside the cylinder, and forming an operation chamber with the cylinder inner wall; and a vane protruding from a groove of the cylinder to the operation chamber, coming into contact with the annular piston, and partitioning the operation chamber into an inlet chamber and a compression chamber. The vane is formed of steel and has a diamond-like carbon layer on a sliding surface with respect to the annular piston. The annular piston is formed of Ni—Cr—Mo cast iron to which 0.15 wt % to 0.45 wt % of phosphorus is added, or formed of cast iron or steel, and has an iron nitride layer on its outer circumferential surface.

The target pump interior is exposed to sequential self-saturating surface reactions by sequential inlet of reactive gases according to an ALD method via the inlet manifold into the target pump interior and outlet of reaction residue via the exhaust manifold, while the target pump is kept running or not running. A technical effect of the invention is protecting a pump interior, which can be also an assembled pump interior, by a confomral protective coating.

Methods of making downhole tools for earth-boring applications may involve exposing a component of the downhole tool to an elevated temperature to heat the component in a nitrogen-rich environment. Nitrogen may be diffused into a steel material of the component and a nitrided region may be formed at one or more surfaces of the component. A ceramic material may be coated on the nitrided region of the component.

摘要： A thrust bearing is equipped with a resin coating applied to the surface of a base material. Lattice-shaped discharge grooves are formed in the surface of the thrust bearing, and planer protrusions having a square shape or the like are formed at the adjacent positions thereof. Each corner part of each planer protrusion form a sliding surface that slides with respect to a counterpart member. Contaminants such as wear particles that have infiltrated between the counterpart member and the sliding surface fail into the discharge grooves and then are discharged outside of the sliding surface. The chamfering of each corner part to a rounded shape prevents the contaminants from accumulating in the discharge grooves, thus preventing the contaminants from biting into the planer protrusions.
