The insertion mechanism comprises an insertion guide for delivering the insert yarn to a predetermined location on the winder, and a tensioning device for maintaining tension on the insert yarn. In another aspect, an automatic winder is configured or modified for direct insertion. In contrast to conventional creel frame insertion, the direct insertion technique of the invention avoids the need for a separate step of back-winding, and allows the automatic doffing feature on the winder to be enabled.

摘要： For the optimization of the vacuum output of a suction air installation of a textile machine, the vacuum output is adjustably regulated by initially starting a batch with a predetermined vacuum for the vacuum demands under basic operating conditions and additional fluctuating working conditions, counting the errors which cannot be rectified and the attempts to rectify the errors caused by insufficient vacuum during a predetermined time period, subsequently changing the vacuum output of the suction unit during a subsequent time period, comparing the number of errors occurring under the changed vacuum conditions with the number which had occurred in the previous time period, and increasing the vacuum output when the number of errors exceeds a maximum predetermined amount of errors and decreasing the vacuum output when the number of errors is at or less than the maximum predetermined amount of errors.

摘要： A yarn splicing device for textile winding machines comprises a splicer mechanism for pneumatically joining yarn ends, upper and lower clamping and cutting devices, and suction-actuated yarn placement devices for placing the yarn ends to be spliced. According to the invention, one yarn placement device is a gripper tube normally parked in a zero position upstream of the yarn travel. The gripper tube has a spring-biased, pivotable gripping flap and a yarn placement hook for simultaneously placing both the lower yarn and the upper yarn to be spliced. For that purpose, one of the gripper tube and gripper tube flap carries the yarn placement hook forwardly for manipulating the upper yarn and a yarn guide disposed between the yarn placement hook and the pivot axis of the flap for placing the lower yarn.
