摘要： A process to cast at least part of the peripheral surface of a concrete structural element against a wax mold which may also serve as a matrix to position form or surface elements to be embedded in the concrete. The initial mold is established from liquid wax, the wax allowed to set, and the mold removed from the cast formed after setting of the concrete by hot water or steam which also serves to cure the concrete. The process allows simple mold formation for and removal from complex concrete structural forms, especially those having embedded surface elements and undercut surfaces. Apparatus is disclosed to conveniently carry out the process.

摘要： Methods and apparatus for creating a decorative surface on concrete products are disclosed. Material used to create the decorative surface can comprise one or more of various types of decorative aggregates. The chosen aggregate pieces or particles are attached to a thin, flexible substrate by a suitable glue. The reverse or backside of the thin, flexible substrate is attached to the form face of a concrete form prior to concrete being poured. After concrete is poured in a manner careful not to dislodge the glued on aggregate, and the concrete sets, the form is removed. The glue that previously held the aggregate to the substrate is re emulsified, releasing the aggregate. This leaves the aggregate embedded in the concrete. Excess glue and any substrate particles can be removed by spraying the exposed decorative aggregate surface with a suitable reagent, such as water.

The decorative sheet for construction comprises a thermoplastic polyester resin foam forming a surface layer, a large number of inorganic aggregates scattered over the surface of the foam in the presence of an adhesive, said inorganic aggregates forming a decorative face layer by the medium of the adhesive, and a backing layer formed on the decorative face layer. The decorative sheet of the present invention enables its decorative face layer with a backing layer to be reliably and readily transferred to the surface of concrete construction or products, and yet which enables a foam layer as a protective layer for the decorative face layer with a backing layer to be readily removed after application. A decorative concrete product for construction using the same, and processes for preparing them are also disclosed.
