    • The present invention provides a printing head for nano patterning including a manifold for accommodating a liquid printing material, a cartridge with an injection chamber communicating with the manifold, and a sample holder for patterning installed outside the injection chamber of the cartridge. The printing head comprises a shadow mask which is installed outside the injection chamber to be finely moved in an X-Y direction and has a single injection hole with a relatively very small size; an actuator for finely moving the shadow mask; an injection-inducing unit including a high voltage generator, a power supply electrode that is installed within the injection chamber and receives power from the high voltage generator to generate positive charges, and an opposite electrode for generating negative charges on the sample holder in a state where the shadow mask is interposed between the power supply electrode and the opposite electrode, thereby generating induced discharge from the injection chamber toward the sample holder; and a control unit for controlling the driving of the actuator so that the injection hole of the shadow mask can be moved to patterning positions corresponding to patterning data input in advance. According to the present invention, patterning accuracy can be improved, ultra-fine patterning and patterning of arbitrary shapes can be achieved, and a configuration for injecting the printing material can be simplified.

    • Disclosed are an automatic shift control device for an electronic pneumatic shift system and a method for controlling the same. The shift control device detects a position of a gearshift lever through a lever position sensor, the lever position sensor outputting signals corresponding to the position of the gearshift lever to an electronic control unit such that the ECU controls a magnetic valve assembly to supply and exhaust air to the shift control device to thereby control a transmission. The shift control device includes a magnet disposed on one end a shift rod of the shift control device; and a linear variable distance transducer provided on an end of the shift control device corresponding to a position of the magnet, the LVDT detecting a change in a magnetic field caused by a movement of the shift rod, and the LVDT outputting signals corresponding to the change in the magnetic field to the ECU. The method includes the steps of detecting a position of the gearshift lever; determining if there is a shift command; establishing a target position for the shift rod of the shift control device if there is a shift command; controlling the magnetic valve assembly to supply air to the shift control device; detecting a position of the shift rod; determining if the shift rod has come within 90% of the target position; calculating a present position, movement speed and acceleration of the shift rod if the shift rod has come within 90% of the target position; supplying air continuously and suitably to the shift control device until a target shift mode has been obtained; and determining if the target shift mode has been reached.

    • A method for forming a liquid crystal display includes the steps of depositing a first metal layer on a substrate, and depositing a second metal layer on the first metal layer opposite the substrate. The first and second metal layers are patterned to provide a gate electrode on a TFT area of the substrate and to provide a gate pad on a pad area of the substrate. An insulating layer is formed on the gate electrode and on the gate pad, and on the substrate, and a semiconductor layer is formed on the insulating layer opposite the gate electrode wherein the semiconductor layer includes a channel region opposite the gate electrode and first and second spaced apart source/drain regions separated by the channel region. First and second spaced apart metal source/drain electrodes are formed on the respective first and second spaced apart semiconductor source/drain regions, and a protective layer is formed on the exposed portion of the first semiconductor layer opposite the substrate, on the first and second metal source/drain electrodes opposite the substrate, and on the insulating layer opposite the gate pad. A first contact hole is formed in the protective layer exposing a portion of one of the source/drain electrodes, and a second contact hole is formed in the protective layer and the insulating layer exposing a portion of the gate pad wherein the second contact hole exposes only a surface portion of the gate pad opposite the substrate. A transparent conductive layer is formed on the protective layer opposite the substrate, and the transparent conductive layer is patterned to form a pixel electrode electrically connected to the exposed portion of the source/drain electrode and to the exposed portion of the gate pad.

The singular point of the liquid crystal is induced to occur at a regular position, and thus afterimages and spots can be prevented.

    • Provided are a thin-film transistor (TFT) substrate and a display device having the same. In the TFT substrate and the display device having the same, first and second drain electrodes of first and second TFTs connected to first and second pixel electrodes, respectively, are vertically bent a plurality of times. The distance between each of the first and second source electrodes and the first or second drain electrode is maintained at a minimum interline gap to increase the distance between a data line and each of the first and second drain electrodes and minimize the length of a region of each of the first and second drain electrodes adjacent to the data line. Consequently, a coupling capacitance between the data line and each of the first and second drain electrodes can be reduced, and each unit pixel region can have a uniform parasite capacitance within a predetermined range. In addition, the luminance deviation of a display device, which performs inversion driving, can be reduced.
