    • A binary information display apparatus displays braille information with high accuracy by means of four braille pins, which are actuated by a stepping motor having a stepping angle of 45.degree. and, hence, eight step positions. The apparatus includes four pins; a triplet cam which acts on ends of three pins out of the four pins so as to independently urge such three pins to selectively project from a display surface of a pin-supporting member and to selectively retract the same behind the display surface; a stepping motor for rotating the triplet cam about an axis thereof; and a fourth cam portion which actuates the remainder of the four pins. The motor can perform consecutive seven steps at 45.degree. intervals, starting from a position where a rotation restricting projection on the fourth cam portion abuts a stopper step surface on the pin-supporting member, without causing rotation of the fourth cam portion. The state of the fourth pin is therefore not changed during such consecutive stepping of the stepping motor over seven steps. With the above-described structural arrangements and resulting operations thereof, it is possible to display eight types of braille information. Similarly, eight types of braille information can be displayed by reversing the motor. Consequently, sixteen types of braille information can be produced by the apparatus of this invention.

The semiconductor layer has steps at the boundaries between the channel region and the impurity-diffusion regions, and the top face of the channel region is arranged so as to be lower than the top faces of the impurity-diffusion regions. A region having a width less than the maximum depletion distance and an impurity concentration larger, than that of the channel region and less than that of the drain region is formed between the channel region and the drain region.

    • A nebulizer which pumps up water and mists the pumped up water comprises an elongated main body with a center hole for water passage, and piezoelectric vibration elements together with electrodes for energizing the same mounted on the main body. The vibration elements are water-proofed, and the nebulizer itself is supported by using a flange on a water-proof member and the flange is on a plane on which a center electrode is positioned. Upon vibration of the elements, water is pumped up through the inlet of the main body, and is dissipated into the air through the outlet of the main body. Preferably, the inlet and the outlet are removable from the main body, and the inlet is coated with a thin hard film. Preferably, the outlet is covered with a mesh, or at least an opening of the outlet is covered for preventing the release of water that has not been convereted to mist.

    • A displacement sensor or an electrocardiogram attaches a permanent magnet chip directly on a living body, and movement or vibration of the living body is sensed by measuring flux by said magnet. The displacement sensor has a magnet assembly having an adhesive film mounting a permanent magnet at the center of the film supported on a bottom ring which has a plurality of upright walls with jaws, for detachably engaging the magnet assembly with a sensor body. The sensor body has saturable inductors which are placed in flux by said magnet and are coupled with a process circuit having an astable multivibrator with a collector load by said saturable inductors and a low-pass filter connected to the output of the multivibrator. The magnet assembly is first adhered on a living body, then, the sensor body is engaged with the same by engaging said jaws with a ring on the sensor body, then, the process circuit provides an output signal reflecting the movement of a living body.
