    • The present disclosure relates to an optical sheet for controlling the direction of light rays which is used for manufacturing backlight units of TFT-LCDs for computer monitors and televisions, and more specifically to an optical sheet which can uniformly diffuse light, improve brightness, and adjust viewing angle. There is provided an optical sheet for controlling the direction of light rays comprising a substrate film; a microlens group arranged on a first face of the substrate film; and a plurality of protuberances formed on a second face of the substrate film, wherein each protuberance comprises a reflective layer at the bottom thereof, and the plurality of protuberances comprise an aperture formed therebetween, and wherein a unit microlens of the microlens group has a first side and a second side with different radii of curvature from each other with respect to a light emission control part thereof.

    • A washing machine has an abnormal vibration sensing apparatus. The abnormal vibration sensing apparatus includes a limiter having at least one opened side and connected to one of a vibrating body and a fixing body, a sensing rod having one end that is received in the limiter and separated from an inner wall of the limiter, and the other end that is connected to another of the vibrating body and the fixing body, and a contact sensing unit sensing whether the limiter and the sensing rod are in contact with each other so as to sense abnormal vibration of the vibrating body. According to this construction, it is possible to easily detect abnormal vibration in a plurality of directions without increasing the number of installing abnormal vibration sensing apparatuses.

    • A backlight assembly includes a plurality of unit blocks to emit light. Each unit block includes a light-emitting part and a driving part. The light-emitting part includes at least two red light-emitting diodes (LEDs), two green LEDs, and two blue LEDs. The driving part includes a red LED-driving element that provides the red LEDs with a driving voltage, a green LED-driving element that provides the green LEDs with a driving voltage, and a blue LED-driving element that provides the blue LEDs with a driving voltage. LEDs may be driven together in a group, or may be driven individually to sequentially emit red light, green light, and blue light so a color filter is not included in a display panel having the backlight assembly. A driving element is connected to the LEDs to reduce manufacturing costs for the driving element circuits, thereby reducing manufacturing costs of the backlight assembly.

    • An OFDM mobile communication system includes a system controller for dividing an OFDM symbol into a control channel and a data channel, multiplexing the control channel to control subchannels, and allocating the multiplexed control subchannels to base stations. The base stations simultaneously transmit control signals on the control allocated subchannels and data on the data channel. Mobile nodes receive an OFDM symbols with the multiplexed control channels for them and a data channel for selecting a base station according to information in the control subchannels. The mobile node simultaneously processes control subchannels received from two base stations using one physical layer module.
