摘要： A cellular radio access network and a location updating in a cordless communications system, in a cellular radio access network (1), which is connected to one or more core networks (2, 3, 4, 5) or services (SP2 to SP5), each of them having a dedicated mobility management. In a cell, identities of all those location areas are broadcast to which said cell belongs. A subscriber terminal (MS) sends to the radio access network only one location updating message irrespective of how many core networks (2, 3, 4, 5) or services (SP2 to SP5) have a simultaneously changing location area at a handover from one cell to another. On the basis of the information contained in the location updating message, the network (1) defines the core networks or services and location areas to which the location updating applies and sends a location updating message informing the new location of the subscriber or the subscriber terminal separately to each defined core network or service.

An intelligent network service detection point whose trigger condition includes a condition that a situation should exist in which the mobile subscriber wants to manage the subscriber service or the intelligent network service related to it himself. When the home location register detects that the predetermined trigger condition is fulfilled, it sends an initial message to the service control point to activate the management function. The service control point sends the necessary intelligent network service instructions to the home location register.

In the invention, the mobile services switching center (MSC) operates as the service switching point of the intelligent network. The mobile services switching center stores the service triggers, which service triggers comprise the triggering criteria for the services and the information required for visiting the service control point (SCP). The mobile subscriber's subscriber data in the subscriber database (HLR) is provided with an intelligent network service trigger key which points to one or more service triggers. 摘要： An apparatus and a method are provided for multiplexing different sessions using the same authorized contexts for media. The method includes distinguishing different control plane sessions by a user equipment, and identifying media flows of a same application among the different control plane sessions by the user equipment by setting a service identifier. The method further includes sending the service identifier by the user equipment to a call state control function including a policy decision function, and authorizing quality of service for a user plane context by the policy decision function. Furthermore, the method includes enabling, by the policy decision function based on the service identifier, the different control plane sessions with media flows of the same application to share the same user plane context with the authorized quality of service to multiplex the different control plane sessions with media flows of the same application.
