摘要： Lactic acid with high optical purity that has not previously been achieved is produced. It has been found that the optical purity of lactic acid is reduced as the racemization reaction of lactic acid proceeds when lactic acid coexists with glycerol. By reducing the amount of glycerol prior to concentrating lactic acid by heating, the optical purity of lactic acid after concentration by heating can be maintained at a high level.

摘要： Poly(cyclic conjugated diene) polymers are prepared by polymerizing a cyclic conjugated diene monomer or cyclic conjugated diene monomer and a double bond-containing monomer using a transition metal catalyst, preferably a Ni-based catalyst, in a non-polar solvent containing a basic compound or an aromatic halide solvent. The poly(cyclic conjugated diene) polymer may then be subsequently modified by reaction of at least one of the double bonds of the polymer with a modifying substance, for example hydrogen.

摘要： The invention is to provide elastomer-like or rubber-like, recyclable cross-linked polymers capable of being liquefied and re-molded repeatedly without detracting from the physical properties of the polymers. The polymer comprises meltable cross-linked oligomer units and linkage units via which the oligomer units are linked to construct the main chains of the polymer. Each linkage unit in the polymer comprises a chemical bond that can be cleaved and re-formed repeatedly by predetermined treatment by which the bond between monomers in the oligomer units are not cleaved. The method for producing the polymer comprises a step of forming oligomer units by polymerizing monomers, a step of forming linkage units by linking the oligomer units via linkage units and a step of forming cross-linked units between the oligomer units.

摘要： A recyclable polymer is formed of a plurality of oligomer units obtained by polymerizing a fixed number of monomers, and linkage units for linking the oligomer units through a chemical bond which is different from a bond between monomers constituting the oligomer units, thereby allowing repetitive scission and re-bonding of the linkage units by a predetermined treatment not cleaving the bond between monomers. The recyclable polymer is decomposable into oligomers and the oligomers can be linked again into the original polymer without degrading the quality of the polymer. A process for producing the recyclable polymer, a method for recovering the recyclable polymer, and a method for regenerating the recyclable polymer are also provided.

Air is capable of flow to the positive electrode. A nonaqueous electrolytic solution is charged into a space between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. At least one of the positive electrode and the nonaqueous electrolytic solution of the lithium air battery contains a compound having a stable radical skeleton. The compound also serves as a redox catalyst for oxygen.

When a mixed liquid including a dispersoid and a dispersion medium passes through liquid communication holes (19) of the inner screen member (8) and liquid communication holes (22, 25) of the outer screen members (9, 10) during the course where it flows outward from the impeller (7) to get out of an interplate space, the circumferential component of the flow vector of the mixed liquid is mostly eliminated to allow the mixed liquid to have substantially only the radial component. This prevents the generation of vortexes so as to apply a sufficiently high shearing force to the mixed liquid to effectively prevent the formation of macro bubbles in the mixed liquid.
